  Description

  I am Dorothea, and I invite you to assist me with daily tasks in the house and garden. I am an artist, a natural healer, and a Buddhist with a Christian background and a wealth of life experience.
  I live in a small village within the picturesque Warnow Gorge—a river valley landscape rich in natural energy—in a large house featuring an art studio and a garden in northern Germany. I love the gently rolling landscape with its many lakes, the magnificent sunsets, and the abundance of birds and unique plants.
  I have traveled extensively, spent long periods in Sri Lanka and India, and chose this special place in 2003. It is a place dedicated to the art of living—in harmony with nature, where mind and body can heal, and where the Dhamma is studied and practiced; it is a place that has been visited by Buddhist monks and nuns and where I have found a true home.
  I follow a simple vegetarian diet, utilizing the produce from my large garden, and I enjoy exchanging surplus crops with friends.

  Ich bin Dorothea und lade dich ein, mich bei den täglichen Arbeiten in Haus und Garten zu unterstützen. Ich bin Künstlerin, Naturheilerin und Buddhistin mit christlichem Hintergrund und viel Lebenserfahrung.
  Ich lebe in einem kleinen Dorf im malerischen Warnow-Durchbruchstal - einer Auenlandschaft mit Naturkraft - in einem grossen Haus mit Kunstatelier und Garten im Norden von Deutschland. Ich liebe die sanft hügelige Landschaft mit den vielen Seen, die wunderbaren Sonnenuntergänge und die vielen Vögel und besordere Pflanzen.
  Ich bin viel gereist, war lange in Sri Lanka und Indien und habe mich 2003 für diesen besonderen Ort entschieden. Es ist ein Ort der Lebenskunst: im Einklang mit der Natur, wo Geist und Körper heilen können, für das Studium und die Praxis des Dhammas, wo immer wieder auch buddhistische Mönche und Nonnen zu Besuch waren und ich Heimat gefunden habe.
  Ich ernähre mich vegetarisch, einfach und nutze die Erträge meines grossen Gartens. Gerne tausche ich mit meinen Freunden, was im Überfluss wächst.

  We spend time together in which you can improve your German, expand practical skills in the house and yard, you can learn a lot about nature and its healing power, you can ask me about the stages of a spiritual path and I will support you with my advice and experience. You can gain experience in watercolor and ink painting, overtone and tambura music, and game healing. You get to know life in a German village and of course my neighbors and friends.

  Wir verbringen Zeit gemeinsam, in der du dein Deutsch verbessern kannst, praktische Fähigkeiten in Haus und Hof erweitern kannst, du viel über die Natur und ihre Heilkraft lernen kannst, du mich gerne über die Stationen eines spirituellen Weges befragen kannst und ich dir mit meinem Rat und meiner Erfahrung zur Seite stehe. Du kannst Erfahrung in Aquarell und Tuschemalerei machen, in Oberton und Tamburamusik und Spielheilung. Du lernst das Leben in einem deutschen Dorf kennen und natürlich meine Nachbarn und Freunde.

  I'm looking for someone who is open to spirituality and nature, has experience in practical help around the house and garden, and is willing to actively support me where I reach my physical limits. I'd be happy to share my wealth of experience with you regarding natural healing methods, meditation and the path of Dhamma, as well as simple, practical life skills.

  Accommodation

  You'll be staying in the guest apartment upstairs, with your own room, kitchen, and bathroom. Sometimes my daughter (with her small dog) or friends might visit, and you'll need to share the kitchen and bathroom with them. However, your room will always be exclusively yours. You can have breakfast and dinner in your kitchen, while we'll eat lunch together. This way, we have both companionship and our own private space.

  Du wohnst in der Gästewohnung im Obergeschoss mit eigenem Zimmer, Küche und Badezimmer. Manchmal kann es sein, dass ich Besuch von meiner Tochter (mit kleinem Hund) oder Freunden habe und du Küche und Bad mit diesen Menschen teilen musst. Dein Zimmer ist aber immer exklusiv nur für dich.
  Frühstück und Abendessen kannst du in deiner Küche, das Mittagessen nehme wir gemeinsam ein. So haben wir sowohl Gemeinschaft, als auch unseren Eigenraum.
