Description
******We are seeking a Workaway individual or a couple of friends to join our family from January 16th for one or two weeks.
The primary responsibilities will include gardening, weed clearing, staining a retaining wall, painting, sanding furniture, and painting an interior room. Due to the presence of an au-pair, there won't be any childcare but the kids may convince you into soccer or board games. We are conveniently located near a surf beach in Waipu, just a 15-minute drive away, and approximately two hours north of Auckland. In exchange for 5 hours of work per day, we offer food and accommodation. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information. Females preferred. Must have own car*******
We have space for Join our lively, busy, and fun family of four, plus our big, friendly dog! Our boys, aged 5 and 8, keep us on our toes. My husband works overseas for 8 weeks at a time. My Dad (who has Alzheimer's) also lives with us, but it is a separate cabin.
We're situated in rural Waipu, just a 10-minute drive to the small-town center (supermarket, cafes, pharmacy, etc.) and 15 minutes from the surf beach at Waipu Cove. Our home boasts beautiful views out to the sea.
the work consists of looking after the kids, light cooking, and making a sandwich or dinner for my Dad if I'm not there. Walking the dog, doing housework, folding laundry, gardening and in the evenings, a hand with the kids and cleaning up after dinner would be fantastic.
During the weekends, I host open homes and need assistance looking after the boys for a few hours on both Saturday and Sunday. You'll have two weekdays off to recharge or go hiking, surfing or whatever you choose.
Your accommodations include a personal room and access to a bathroom that is occasionally used by the kids.
We are not in walking distance to amenities so having your own transport is good but not necessary. We are a 2-hour bus ride from Auckland.

We really enjoyed our stay, the boys are really lovely and kind and Angie has a good sense of humor, good cooking skills and was able to give us good tips for the rest of the trip.
And a big plus : the big friendly giant dog ☺️
