  This is a communal family hotel that has been running for almost 30 years. It is unique in what it provides and is fully integrated with the local community. We have wonderful food , all locally sourced and all our permanent staff are local . We are situated on the edge of a medieval village so you would be very much part of italian rural culture.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Whilst working at the hotel you will be completely immersed in rural italian culture , all the staff team are italian from the village and you will have the opportunity to learn all about italian culture. The village has a very active local bar that organises 'festas' and many other events . You will be able to taste wonderful Umbrian food every day and good local wine.
  You will also meet a wide variety of interesting English speaking guests as the atmosphere is very communal and condusive to getting to know people .
  At the beginning and end of the season we run a number of different workshops , including Drawing and Meditation, Guitar masterclasses , garden design and photography , calligraphy , book binding and styling, art history and philosophy. You would be most welcome to join in on some of these as there is no babysitting during these weeks.
  For all the young people who have worked here over the years it has been a very enriching experience .
  I will always be around to provide any support you might need , I previously worked in a therapeutic community so am very keen that everyone involved in helping has a positive experience , many of our staff have been here for 20 years which well represents the spirit of the environment.

  Help

  The hotel has been running for almost 30 years as a community family Hotel and creative retreat venue. I would like to welcome 2 people to help from the end of March until the end of October . All the permanent staff are local and have worked with us for 20 years , so we are very much part of the local community and culture.
  The ethos is very communal , everyone eats together and helps in clearing away after meals . Children all play together allowing a freedom that sadly often doesn't exist in many cities.
  I am looking for 2 people to do all the babysitting , run art classes and some general cleaning . We have 7 rooms in a building in the village where we include babysitting during the adult evening meal , so this would be your responsibility 6 evenings a week. There are 2 art classes and a children's cooking class every week . The art classes would be your responsibility and you would be assisting the cooks for the children's cooking.
  Full board and lodging is included on top of the minimum wage for hours worked. The food is exceptional using all local produce and prepared by local cooks .
  You need to have all the correct visas/work permits to be able to work.
  You would also be interacting with the guests a great deal which is often interesting and fun .
  A very good knowledge of English is essential and some Italian would be useful .

  You will have a large apartment on the top floor of the main Villa with 4 bedrooms,bathroom and a living room with basic kitchen as all your food is provided.

  You can explore Tuscany and Umbria while helping here, we are 1 hour from Siena, Florence, Perugia, Assisi . Within half an hour there are also many beautiful Tuscan/Umbrian hill towns with wonderful festas including Perugia Jazz, where I have lucky enough to see Prince, Van Morrison, Roberta Flack ..... We try an be as flexible as possible to allow you to enjoy all the wonders this area has to provide with so many of the world's art treasures .

  The apartment for people from workaway is large and has good wifi , there are also some beautiful spaces outside with good wifi.

  If you bring a pet it would be very important they the pet is child friendly and you cleaned up after them as we have lots of children staying during the summer holidays
