Description
Come teach English in Italy!!
We are a Cultural Association, located in a small town called Adria in the Veneto region. The Cultural Association was founded as a response to various requests by local families, a group of parents wishing to immerse their own children in the English language, thus giving them the chance to grow up bilingual. Our aim is to teach English through simple conversation and interaction with children, young people, and adults in our association.Types of help and learning opportunities

Adria is a great place for our volunteers to learn more about Italian culture and way of life. It is also a good location for travelling to other parts of Italy. You can get to Bologna, Venice, Ferrara and Verona easily by train.
We provide weekly Italian lessons for our volunteers and free experiences to travel around cities such as Bologna, Ferrara, Padova and more close to Adria where we are located.
Every month we host a social night at one of the local bars. We invite our associates and other people from the local community to join us in an evening of socialising in English. We carry out activities that encourage our guests to speak in English as much as possible - be this through taking part in a 'pub quiz' or a 'speed-dating' style conversation activity. These evenings are a great way to meet new people from the local community and get to know other Italian people to exchange our thoughts and ideas about our respective cultures.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We are currently looking to fill multiple roles at our school for the 2024-2025 school year.
We are looking for a teacher to oversee our English courses for older students preparing for the Cambridge English Examinations. These students are learning English at the A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 levels. For this position we are looking for someone who has previous experience preparing students for these exams.
We are also looking for a volunteer to assist with our young learner's classes. These classes focus on teaching the English language through games and crafts.
Volunteers must be native English speakers. No specific qualifications are necessary but experience in teaching, working with young children and a TEFL certification would be advantageous. Most importantly you should be enthusiastic, friendly and ready to enjoy yourself! You will be required to volunteer as part of a team, but will also have free time to do things independently.Languages spoken
