  Description

  Hello Volunteers, we need your help to run our beautiful property. I’m Gayan and we have a coconut garden with 6 cabanas by the lagoon nearby Marakoliya beach, 6 km from Tangalle. If you like peaceful and quiet areas for relax, bicycle and kayaks come and stay in our coconut island.

  We will provide you with one private cabana with bathroom and terrace. You can use our kitchen to prepare food for yourself or check the restaurants around. In your free time you can do many things like swimming or surfing in the ocean, cycling (you can use our bicycle) kayaking in the lagoon.
  There is a Tangalle city 6 km away with plenty of restaurants ,bars and shops.
  You can go turtles watching by the beautiful Marakoliya beach, nature reserve area, where female turtles lay eggs into a deep sand. You can learn how to help a baby turtles get into the ocean.

  Help

  We need help watering the garden, sweeping leaves,cutting grass and cleaning cabanas.
  If you have any skills for repairing wooden and bamboo fence,walls or roof it would be very useful.
  Couple of volunteers would be the best for minimum 1 month, but of course you are welcome to stay longer.

  I’m not providing meals as I can’t be there all the time, the volunteers can cook themselves, use kitchen all equipment/ ingredients there

  For the transportation you can use our bicycle for sightseeing or order a tuk tuk.We have 4 kayaks, you can also use it for yourself and make tour by the lagoon.After sun set you can go turtles watching, when they put eggs into the beach sand.
