    Description

We are a Swiss couple with adventure spirit and love for nature. We have fulfilled our dream of a house in Lapland at a lake. We both love kayaking and being outdoors. With us lives Chai, a labrador mix who loves exploring every nook and corner of our land.
We have a few sheds on the land and lots of space around us.
We like the idea of connecting with other people who enjoy nature and peaceful surroundings and like to give us a little helping hand.
Important for us is honest communication, mutual respect. A portion of humor is always welcome too.

Kayaking, archery and of course there is always time for a wooden fire in the sauna. If you can brace a swim in the cold lake, good for you too!

We can offer you our time on hands, open space and peaceful surroundings.

Chai our dog is always around us, so it would be good if you feel comfortable about dogs.

With us you can learn to listen to the sound of silence.

Rovaniemi is 84km by car. There are plenty of shops and shopping malls. If you are interested, you can go to the cinema or enjoy a play or a show at the theater.

  • Help

    Help

We have a big plot of land, so there is always something to do.
Maybe you enjoy weeding, cutting back bushes or trees? Maybe you can help with some handy tasks around the sheds like painting or fixing somethings ?
Maybe you would rather collect berries for breakfast or make dessert with it? Towards autumn mushrooms will grow, so you might want to collect mushrooms with us and join us for a delicous meal afterwards?

We are also interested in learning Finnish and w are happy to share our mother tongue German. Open for other languages!

Maybe you would rather help inside the house? We might need a helping hand with painting and decoration tasks, household stuff, cleaning, cooking, baking - if you fancy?

No professional skills required but a friendly personality.

Having a car or motorbike is necessary if you want to explore the neighborhood. Of course you can always walk or cycle for miles in quiet surrounding.

Kemijärvi railway station is 30km by car. Night trains run all the way down to Helsinki.

There is a bus connection between Rovaniemi and Kemijärvi. It only runs in the mornings though...
