We have just started to turn the little meadow next to our house into a permaculture garden. We have planted 15 fruit trees and many berry bushes, created hill beds for veggies and a chicken coop, prepared the spot for the beehives and made soooo many plans what should be the next elements to be added. A dome greenhouse, a larger compost of course, a yurt for yoga, a fireplace, a place to sunbathe, a cave for fierce dragons and princesses...and depending on whom you ask, they of course all have priority :)
Right now we are 3 families working on the project, living in 2 houses next to each other on the edge of town.
We are looking for people to help us with the project, who are interested in permaculture, beekeeping, organic self sustained living and outdoor fun. Between March to October, you can stay in the large (unheated) garden house, with its own toilet and shower. During winter, we can find space in the main house, but maybe only for shorter stays.

Help around the house
You will be living with a young family, working on an ambitious nature project. I can promise you, there will be something to learn every day :)
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Besides working on the various projects in the garden, you will have to help with cleaning (your own room most of all) and it would be fantastic if you could help out with cooking or looking after the kids (born 2014, 2014 and 2016) sometimes.

You are welcome to share our (mostly vegetarian) meals, although on weekday lunches you might be alone a lot.
Osterholz-Scharmbeck is a smallish city where you can find everything you need, including some basic entertainment such as a nice indoor swimming pool and a small cinema. It does not offer any night-life I am aware of, and on a scale for the city vibes going from vibrant to sleepy it is definitely more on the sleepy side.
There are bicycles you can use to ride into town or to explore the Teufelsmoor ( a region of bog and moorland) that starts right at our doorstep.
The train station is only a 10 minute walk away, so we are easy to reach and Bremen city is only 15 Minutes by train away.

We have a 100mBit connection. So online video editing might not work, but for other things it should be fine. You need to bring your own computer :)
There is parking space on the street. It's safe, but not very cosy.
