We are a collective focussed on 3 areas: theatre-arts, self-sustainability and social justice.
The area of our work where we receive volunteers is in our community garden, where we develop self-sustainability through organic gardening, as well as promoting urban gardening in the local area.
Our other main area of our work is in prisons. Since 2002, we guide a continuous community theatre experience in the Colina 1 men's prison in Santiago. Since 2013, In the prison work we DO NOT receive volunteers.

You will be able to appreciate how a self-managed collective of community artists and activists survive through collaboration, auto-gestión (self-generated income), and networking.
We only offer volunteering opportunities in our community organic garden, and would appreciate help from people who know about permaculture and/or carpentry.

Room in a 3 bedroom house where the collective's garden is situated. Share cooking and cleaning.
Apart from the contact person, most other workers speak only Spanish, so it is an opportunity to immerse in the Spanish (Latinamerican) language. Also a way to see the alternative side of Chile, the more community-based side, the communty arts side, part of the movement to resist the neo-liberal system.
