Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
In Prince Rupert, there’s plenty of opportunity to connect with both our family and the local community. We love spending time outdoors, exploring wilderness trails, going for walks along the waterfront, or taking part in local events and festivals. Workawayers are always welcome to join us in these activities and get a real feel for life in this small but vibrant town.
We’re excited to share skills in home renovations, and DIY projects, and we also enjoy learning from our guests whether it’s new perspectives, recipes, or stories from different cultures. Hosting people from around the world is a chance for all of us to exchange knowledge, experiences, and build lasting friendships.

Accommodation
The accommodation will be in the basement. It’s unfinished, but we’ll make it a cozy and comfortable space for you. You’ll have access to the shared kitchen and bathroom. Yes food is provided.

What else ...
We live just a street away from Main Street, so it’s easy to walk anywhere in town. We’ll provide a bike for you, and there’s also bus service around town, though Prince Rupert is small enough that most places are within walking distance including the beautiful waterfront right from our house.
In your time off, there’s plenty to explore: extensive trail networks for hiking, waterfront walks, wildlife tours (including bears!), kayaking, and nearby lakes. You can also visit Terrace, a nearby town, or check out local events, markets, and festivals in Prince Rupert.
At home, we value a friendly, respectful atmosphere. We have a toddler so quiet time around 8pm . We share the kitchen and bathroom, so keeping things tidy is appreciated. We enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, but being considerate of shared spaces and routines helps everyone feel comfortable.
