Description
Apple orchard (non commercial) and native tree rural property 15 minutes from Rotorua and 30mins from Tauranga.
Solo Dad to a nature loving 7 year old girl, into sailing, mountain biking and crafting/ art projects together. I work part time as a doctor in private practice and also enjoy working on outdoor projects , sustainable off grid capable home with lake views and a some friendly animals.
We would like help gardening, pruning apple trees. There is a spare twin room with it's own bathroom, we would welcome couples, two friends or solo travellers for short or longer stays potentially to enjoy a cultural exchange, shared cooking and working together on projects and sometimes independently. Own transport recommended but not essential as we are 14k from town.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I was brought up in the UK. Became an NZ Citizen 10 years ago. Have self taught basic conversational level Spanish in South America. Worked in Southern Africa and Bangladesh. Interested in all cultures, keen to learn more and experience different cuisines.

Interested to practice speaking more Spanish but also interested to help others practice English speaking. My daughter and I would also like to learn to speak some words of other languages too. My daughter knows some Te Reo and is trying to teach me.
Accommodation
Spacious Twin room with dedicated bathroom. All rooms have heat pumps and double grazed and well insulated. Large shared kitchen, lounge with lots of indoor outdoor spaces. Log burner and extensive book and vinyl collection.
3 meals a day provided, shared cooking role with host (or jointly preparing a meal), breakfast independently from a well stocked pantry in exchange for 25 hours help per week.
What else ...
There is another property in Cambridge the Workawayers may also like to visit which is a 4 bedroom town house with general house hold maintenance eg window cleaning and small garden maintenance. We are also likely to invite you to join us on the odd sailing trip.
