I am a retired, active and creative older man, living in a large Victorian house, with a separate apartment on the top floor. The house has a large garden and is in a residential part of the town of Wolfville
I am a writer and retired theatre director, with two volumes of memoirs in print, as well as a 'young adult's' novel, a book about music theatre, and a play. I have a fine piano and play. I speak French, and some Italian, Spanish and Finnish. I enjoy conversation, ideas and laughs. I live in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia
I have a half-acre garden which needs maintaining. I would like help with gardening - tidying up, planting, weeding etc. - and also with sanding and re-painting the large deck and its balustrade.
English, French, some Spanish, Italian, Finnish
I have a spare room with close access to shared bath and toilet. I have a lodger in the house and the fully-equipped kitchen would be shared with him and me. We would often eat together, but at times would prepare our own meals. I am vegetarian but my lodger is not. I also have a cat.
Wolfville is one of the most attractive small towns in Nova Scotia, with a small university, many restaurants, three bookstores etc.. It is in the middle of farming country - including many vineyards and apple orchards - and close to the beautiful Bay of Fundy, which boasts the highest tides in the world. I have a bicycle to lend.
