Description
I'm from Germany and I have recently bought a small farm (7 ha) in Southern Jutland, which I would like to turn into a sanctuary for animals in the near future. As I still work in Brussels during the week, I am looking for someone who could imagine staying here on the farm, getting to know life at Jutland's West Coast and looking after my dogs during the week (Sunday evening to Thursday) (walks, feeding etc.) .
The small farm consists of a large barn, a stable with about 8 boxes and a residential building. I live on the farm with my three dogs and often have friends here as well. My family, especially my mum, is also often staying here.
I am looking for someone for the dogs all year around and I would definitely prefer you to stay for a longer period (6 months or even a year), at least one month, so that the dogs can get to know you and you can get to know the dogs properly.
You should be an open minded, engaged, happy person who loves to be outside. I like to have a good energy in the house and it would be perfect if you also share the interest in the vegan lifestyle and the vegan cuisine. So a special heart for animals is a must 😊 As I will be usually away from Sunday to Thursday you will also have lots of time and space for you to have on your own, to relax on your own or go exploring the surroundings.
I also have space for a camper van. I am happy to provide you with more information and fotos beforehand.

I'm always up for a chat and interested in meeting new people. I unfortunately also have to do a lot of work when I'm at home, but I'm sure we will find time to talk, cook, eat, get a coffee or even do a trip together (e.g. Rømø, Hvide Sande).
Learning opportunities: Learn German and teach me Danish, English or any other language you could think of.
You will also have plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings and beaches or go for a trip to the capital (3.30 hrs by train). And of course learn interesting facts about (my) dogs 😉
If you're skilled in craftsmanship or know something about cow, sheep and pig keeping I would very much appreciate your help and sharing your knowledge with me.Help
I would expect 3 hrs a day/ 2 days off per week. As you will be mainly responsible for my three dogs that are 6-10 years, I would like you to have some sort of experience with dogs. They are all from animal welfare abroad and unfortunately had some bad experiences with people, so you need some dog knowledge to be able to read and understand them. But they will always be ready for a cuddle as soon as they have taken you to their hearts 🥰
Your tasks would involve walking the dogs twice a day (in the morning between 8 and 10 a.m., in the evening between 5 and 7 p.m.) for about 1 hour each time. They will be fed afterwards. You would also have to be available during the day for one or two petting sessions if required 😉
On Thursday or Friday, when I will be around to take care of the dogs myself, you could help me putting up permanent fencing for the horses or the sheep that I would like to buy soon or with any other tasks.Languages

I offer a nice clean room in the residential building which is approx. 15 square meters in size. There is a sofa bed and Wi-Fi, so espescially digital nomads are very welcomed. There is also a small desk in your room and a TV screen for lazy sundays 😉 The large kitchen and 2 bathrooms are shared with me (and whoever will be around, eg. my family).
What else ...
Please be aware that in general you have to take care of your own meals and food. Therefore what I offer is WORKAWAY LIGHT, means you only work 3 hours a day and therefore take care of your own grocery shopping and meals.
No smoking in the house, no parties or unannounced extra guests, no drugs, bad language and excessive drinking. So pretty much the usual rules apply here.
The farm is located on the outskirts of the town near Rømø. All stores for daily needs, including the train station, can be reached in approx. 15 minutes on foot. There is also a swimming pool and other leisure facilities in town. Rømø offers many water sports activities and horse riding excursions. The property is only 15 minutes by car from the beautiful beach of Rømø. The surrounding area is also ideal for hiking and long bike rides.
So summing up, I am able to offer you: A lovely private space to stay and tasks for you to work independently on not more than 3 hours a day.
Me and my dogs are very much looking forward to meet you at our place. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me😊A little more information
