Description
My mane is Choi, I live with my wife, Lee, we are 60's years old. We live in a small village 10 km from Gochang. We are both cyclist. We cycled the pacific coast in America, the 88 temples in Japan, south East Asia, Australia and New Zeland and planing more.... We traveled South America (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Equador, Brazil) from 1/12/2016 to 24/2/2017. (no cycling, only bacpacking)

We need help to renovate an old house next to our home. Every hand worker are welcome. Welcome carpenter, plumber, electric engneer, artist - wall painting etc.

Our house is very old, so uncomfortable. You will be host in separate room inside are home. And we eat all together korean food. We offer accommodation within 2 weeks.
There is no ATM in Gochang.
What else ...
Gochang is only 10 km away, there is bus 2 times a day. Also easy to hitch hike. There, you can go to public korean bath, water contain germanium, good for health. Visit the fortress, ...
All around, between 20km and 50km, we have really famous temples : Seonwoonsa, Baeyangsa, Naesosa and Naejangsa.
We are 20km from the sea.

Very nice stay in the contryside of Corea. and Ms. Lee are charming hosts. We had a great time helping with the garden and on the free days going on road trips with them or their friends to discover the region :) Ms. Lee food is also amazing! We recomand the stay!

Went two weeks last winter !
Mrs Lee & Mr Choi are super welcome. Feel like one member of there family. They show so much, invite you to some gathering with there friends. Feel really great, like home. I definitely recommande there place !
And would definitely come back next time i'm in Korea !

We contacted Mr. Choi and Mrs. Lee already in January. They answered quickly and agreed that we can come. We immediately settled on a date of our arrival. Then we messaged them quite frequently when we arrived to South Korea etc, they didn't reply eventhought they read the messages. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Choi family's house for 3 weeks last year (2017). I spent more than a week in Mr. Choi and Mrs. Lee's house. It was my first workaway experience, but I didn't have to be disappointed. We spent 10 days with Mr Choi and Mrs Lee and had a great experience. They are amazing hosts, both going out of their way to ensure we experienced Korean culture. They took us all around Gochang including the dolmen site and seonsan temple. We absolutely recommend them as hosts and wish we could have stayed longer! Kippis!
