Description
Welcome to our cottage our house in South Galway, near the town of Gort. We are Nick and Marta and we have been a homeschooling family for all our children's childhood and teenage years. we have a focus on active education, creative learning, and mindfulness in our lifestyle. Our young companions have grown up now so we are at a moment of our life where it would be great to have support and help from young people that want to join us here to continue the cycle of life. As all keeps changing... We have organic growing gardens and herbal gardens, buildings that need always care and renovations, we also offer meditation zen sittings weekly for anybody to attend, and monthly Changes Group ( Focusing support group ). We also hold training in Nonviolent Communication, Focusing, and Nature & Plant Connection and Healing.
We have a lovely old companion and her name is Kila, two furry friends Lilith and Kitty, and many beautiful birds that bring joy throughout our day. We live very close to a native old Oak Forest that brings ongoing joy into our lives.
We love to share our home with people, to learn from each other, and to have a real community experience with each volunteer that comes here.Types of help and learning opportunities
