Description
My name is Noa and my husband Diego and I are looking for someone to help us out with our garden and little orange grove in the very south of Spain.
Diego is Spanish and works from home as a translator. He speaks Spanish, English and French fluently.
He loves the desert, literature, analog photography and exploring in nature
I, Noa, speak German, dutch, English and Spanish and have a love for any creative activities, hiking and swimming, as well as baking and cooking
_____
Our property isn't very large but we do have some orange trees and other fruit trees that are in desperate need of care and watering. If you have any prior knowledge about this, that would be very much appreciated.
One room in our house is rented out online, which means it is important that the common areas like the kitchen are kept very clean, so our guests can have a comfortable stay.
We also have a dog and a cat. They tend to stay outside, although sometimes we bring the dog inside.Types of help and learning opportunities

Diego also knows about how to bake his own sourdough bread and pizza and has a lot of knowledge about to local area and the desert. His hobbies include analog photography and riding his motorcycle.
Noa has supplies for lots of different creative activities, including sewing, painting, knitting. She is also interested in food preservation, like dehydrating and canning foods from the garden. She regularly makes kefir, kombucha and co as well as homemade pasta and baked goodsHelp
Currently we are looking for someone to help us mainly with work in the garden.
Pruning trees, sweeping the terrace, weeding, clearing areas in the garden to be able to plant food, watering the orange groove (this includes several preparations, like clearing the waterway). In general theres a lot of tasks at the moment, to just make the garden tidier and a more inviting space to be in, as it has gotten a bit wild in the last few years.
If you're good at small renovations there are also options to put you to work in the house, painting walls, fixing cracks etc.
You will also have some task inside of the house on your list of activities, like vacuuming and mopping, as well as helping us organize our storage room etc.
We would be expecting 25 hours a week for 1 person in exchange for the room and food. If you come alone you will be the only workawayer here.
If you come together with a friend or your partner, we offer the room in exchange for 15 hours of work per person per week and then you are fully responsible for buying and making your own food.Languages

If you come alone, your room is upstairs and has a single bed. If two people would come we would offer a different room that has a double bed.
The house has two bathrooms, one downstairs with a shower and washing machine, and one upstairs with a bathtub. All bathrooms are shared.
We do not have a working dishwasher so dishes have to be done by hand. What else ...
We live a very quiet life, so being able to be alone and occupy yourself is a must.
Most available activities kind of depend on yourself unless you want to take the bus into the city (from our house to Almeria city by public transport its about an hour). Close to the house, theres a lot of availability for hiking and exploring the desert (there is even an old ruin on top of the hill that our house is built into) as well as mountain biking (you can borrow a bicycle). We own many books that you are welcome to, as well as noas art supplies and if you are fond of dogs you are also very welcome to spend time with him if you wish. Canela is very smart and knows a lot of tricks.A little more information

Franzi and I were looking for a host from christmas to new year but we ended up staying for almost 7 weeks - I guess that says it all!

They're both easy going and don't have any trouble occupying themselves. We were very happy with their work, especially because they were very self sufficient and didn't need much supervision at all, which made it quite easy for us.
