My vocation as a veterinarian has taken me on an enlightening journey, exploring the meaning of compassion, embracing VEGANISM and creating a spectacular permaculture garden on a small farm in a lush valley of the Great Swartberg, to heal the Earth, grow food, and raise my own consciousness. In this way I hope to inspire others to create a caregiving society.
The vision for the farm has recently expanded to encompass intentional community and we are actively looking for permanent and semi-permanent members as educators. as well as temporary guests and volunteers.
We are a dynamic learning community dedicated to developing our capacities for regeneration through personal transformation, inspiring paradym shifts towards more ethical living in harmony with non-human nature. Emanating from a theme of non-violence, we offer elucidating dialogue in vegan philosophy, and present courses and workshops in vegan education, including all aspects of agroecological farming, inventive plant-based cooking, animal communication, yoga, sustainable living, and the creative arts.
We produce a wide variety of gorgeous vegetables of the best heirloom varieties. The farm is 22 ha comprising 1 ha cultivated vegetable garden, a river lined with poplar forest, a dam, and hill (koppie) leading onto karoo wilderness...
