    Description

We are a 150-year-old British bungalow turned nature retreat and permaculture farm, perched above the shimmering Emerald Lake in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Our home is surrounded by tea plantations, misty hills, and the wild beauty of the Nilgiris.

Guests come here for peace, local food, and the chance to reconnect with nature. Workawayers come here to create, learn, and get their hands dirty—whether in the garden or with creative projects that add soul to the place.

We’re especially keen on welcoming people with skills in:

    1. Cook or experienced in the kitchen.

    2. Videography, photography & editing (to help us tell our story)

    3. Yoga & wellness (to share sessions with guests and staff)

    4. Carpentry, DIY & building (always things to fix, improve, or invent)

    5. Artists & designers (murals, signage, creative touches)

    6. Permaculture & gardening (from planting to composting)

What we offer: a calm, inspiring atmosphere, treks through untouched hills, cycling, fishing, bird-watching, bonfires, and the warmth of a family-run retreat with great food.

We’re looking for hands-on, self-motivated, and creative Workawayers who want to contribute meaningfully while soaking in one of the most beautiful corners of South India.
