Description
We are a positive and active Scandinavian single-parent family. We have a lovely home, with a swimming pool right next to a beautiful beach, in sunny Spain. We are looking for a kind, English speaking person to help with two boys aged ten and six, and a friendly pet dog.

We live in a beautiful apartment in a wonderful, private and safe environment with well-kept gardens. A swimming pool and padel tennis court are also available for you to enjoy. You would have your own room with double bed and bathroom. Food is included, as is joining in with family meals, and activities. Long-term stays are preferable.
We are a well-travelled and educated family, who would happily share language, cultural, sporting, charitable, environmental, sustainable living, education, nature-based, and arts experiences. We volunteer weekly at a dog/cat shelter, and run a beach clean-up programme.
Mum is a Professor of English, film-maker and writer. We live by the beach and mountains in Valencia/Alicante. Come and enjoy a peaceful and healthy life with us in the fabulous Mediterranean.
Single parent and homeschooling families are very welcome.

Help
Help for five hours a day, five days a week hanging out with the kids and dog. On our travels, we have enjoyed several experiences as Workaways ourselves, so we are mindful about how to make you feel comfortable.
Helping around the house and making some healthy meals would be nice. Our door is open to you as a valued member of the family.
Experience with sport and the arts welcomed - especially swimming, tennis, cycling and football, outdoor activities, painting and music.
English, German, French and/or Spanish language skills and/or teaching experience would be a bonus. Maths and computer science expertise would be useful too.
No smoking, drug use, or heavy drinking. Driving licence a plus. Bike available to use, local, national (and international) public transport within easy reach.

Spanish, French, German language exchange would be great. We are native English speakers, also with Danish, Spanish, French and German skills; to varying degrees.

Spacious, private double room with built-in-wardrobes, and own bathroom. Shared living environment in a comfortable, clean, well-equipped family apartment with gardens and a swimming pool in a quiet, private, gated beach-side community. Shared use of a modern family kitchen, utility room, two terraces and living room. Good, free WiFi connection.
