    Description

We are a positive, nature-loving single-parent family. We have a lovely country home, with land and lots of fruit trees, nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. We are just 9kms from the stunning Costa Blanca coast. We are looking for an English speaking person to help with two boys aged eleven and seven, and two friendly rescue dogs. We are moving towards cultivating our own food on our land in order to become as self-sufficient as possible. Enjoy and share the peace and tranquility with us.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are a well travelled, cultured and educated family. Food is included for the duration of your stay, as is joining in with family meals, and activities. Long-term stays are preferable.

We will happily share language, cultural, sporting, charitable, environmental, sustainable living, education, nature-based, and arts experiences. We volunteer weekly at a dog/cat shelter, and run a beach clean-up programme.

Mum is a Professor of English, film-maker, writer and charity fund-raiser. Come and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing and healthy lifestyle away from the rat-race with us.

Single parent and home-schooling families are very welcome.

    Help

Spend creative and constructive time with the kids and dogs. On our travels, we have enjoyed several experiences as Workaways ourselves, so we are mindful about how to make you feel comfortable.

Helping around the house and making some healthy meals would be a bonus. Our door is open to you as a valued member of the family.

Experience with sport and the arts welcomed - especially swimming, tennis, cycling and football, outdoor activities, painting and music. Lovers of nature seeking a quiet country life will enjoy our home. Independent and self-motivated people would suit our family environment.

English, German, French and/or Spanish language skills and/or teaching experience would be useful. Maths and computer science expertise would be great too.

No smoking, drug use, or heavy drinking. Driving licence a plus. Bicycles available to use, or bring your own car/moped. We are in the Spanish countryside. There is a working Spanish, not touristy town nearby. Public transport exists but is not great. Therefore, having your own transport would be a bonus. Blah blah car is also an option. Buses and trams go from the main neighbouring towns for access to wider Spain/France/Portugal etc.

Amenities, facilities, services and shops available a ten minute walk away in the local town.
