Short-Term Helpers Welcome! 🏡🌿 We welcome volunteers for even less than a week if you'd like to help with house maintenance. About Our Living Arrangement: Nestled in the heart of Melissia, our 120-square-meter house is a peaceful oasis, 16 km from Athens' bustling center. You'll be living with Theodosis Tzanos, the founder and president of this place, and potentially one more person. We foster a culture of learning and growth in a small, tight-knit setting. 🏡
Share Your Skills and Get Involved in Our Community Projects:
We are looking for passionate individuals who can share their skills and actively participate in our diverse community projects. These range from beach cleanups and environmental actions to hosting educational workshops such as cooking, exercise, yoga, or any other unique experiences you can offer. We truly value creativity and welcome fresh ideas that bring new energy to our community.
Whether you’re staying short-term or exploring a longer involvement, we’re excited to see how we can grow together. ⏳

History of this place and Our Achievements: This place is a non-profit Union that was established in 2009 with the vision of promoting active citizenship and creating a collaborative environment of trust, respect, and co-ownership. Since our inception, we have:
Launched over 500 projects aimed at helping with the basic needs of people, from providing food to homeless people and families with children, to environmental actions and international projects in Japan, Spain, and Armenia.
Aided over 25,000 people.
Crowdfunded over €180,000, with 90% of donations used directly for projects.
Animal Lovers Only: Please note that we have a cat living in the house, so we only host animal lovers. 🐱❤️

You will be part of our community that is being created by the NGO, with which since 2009 we have implemented 500+ community projects like helping homeless people, supporting families in need, aiding the environment and animals and many more! First important thing is that you have a good heart and are giving towards society. This is mandatory! Graphic design skills, video editing skills, dance skills and any art will be appreciated but not mandatory.

Accommodation
Total sq meters of the house is 118 and there are 2 bathrooms. The accommodation is of a very high standard and the area (Melissia) is one of the best and safest in Athens, while being only 16km from the centre. The closest metro station is 2.5km away and can be reached either by walking, bicycle or bus.
What else ...
The city centre is 20 min by metro (doukisis plakendias station blue line) and the metro is 3km from the house (walk or take bus). Around 50 minutes in total (cost of ticket 1,2€ - half price for students.
