  Description

  We are a small lodge located at Juara Beach Tioman Island Malaysia. We are team of 3 people. Two of us based on the island and will be hosting you. Come and join us for our opening season. We located 200 m away from a beautiful beach and surrounded by tropical jungle next to a flowing river. If you are a nature lover it is a perfect place to explore.

  We support local community projects such as reducing single use plastic and promoting zero waste products at our place.
  Come and participate in our projects and contribute your ideas.
  During your stay in Juara you can experience local culture and try variety of local food. Explore new things about Jungle and Nature.

  Help

  We are looking forward to work with a positive, independent, flexible and Eco conscious individuals. We require volunteers who would be committed based on the task that has been given.
  
  Our lodge has 4 rooms and a platform to chill.
  Daily tasks include:
  -checking in/checking out our guests
  -Housekeeping/laundry
  -keeping toilets/showers tidy
  -general maintenance/simple building
  
  We also need help with our kayak river tours for our customers:
  -help with using kayak,
  -guiding tour along the river,
  -hiking to the view point ( don't worry our two doggos will show you the way ;))
  
  tasks:general work as required. supervised and unsupervised. training given for new skills.
  
  type of boarding: A frame bunk bed shared bath.
  You can use facilities(kitchen),kayak,discounted rate for scuba licensed + fun dives.
  
  We require one week notice prior your arrival.
  
  To get here:
  - take bus to Mersing town;
  -take ferry to Tioman (bluewater.my or Cataferry.com);
  -alight at Tekek Marina stop on Tioman;
  -take a car ride to Juara village (it cost 35rm per person/one way) you can arrange it on your own or we can arrange that for you.

  Accommodation

  We require 5 hours a day/6 days a week of help in exchange for:
  
  -Dorm accommodation (2 pax): fan, pillow, blanket and shared bathroom
  - Free tea and coffee.
  - breakfast on working days only (eggs, bread, tea/coffee).
  Kitchen access to cook.
  -free wi-fi
  -use of kayak
  -discounted rates for scuba diving.

  What else ...

  There are plenty activities to explore during your free time. Juara beach is perfect for surfing, snorkeling, diving, hiking, waterfall chasing, kayaking, swimming or just suntanning.
  The beach is accessible by foot or bicycle from where we are. Jungle tracking is a must when you are here. Guided or unguided trails are plenty. Waterfall is 20 minutes track from where we are. We are happy to share our recommendations on island activities during your free time. If you are interested in diving or taking a course we have special rates for our volunteers as we are linked to a local dive shop.
  There are special prices for our volunteers at our bar.
