Description
WE are a diversified beef and forestry farm with a Mountainbike park in part development. Our farm is situated in the foothills beside the Department of Conseravtion park in Mt Holdsworth with tramping and stunning views in the beautiful and sunny Wairarapa 50minutes North of the Capital city of Wellington.
Our Farm has a great deal of pine forest and tracks approx 30 km available for walking and biking and we have beef cattle. We need help with clearing and maintaining land and mountain biking based activities such as track building and maintenance and dealing with tour groups etc. as required. We are not open full-time to the public so most of the week it is peaceful.
We have one cabin available and plenty of camping space if you are keen on camping. We have the Atiwhakitu stream running through our property and many creeks and springs and a couple of water falls. So a pretty place to come and stay with great views from up the hills.Types of help and learning opportunities

What else ...
IN your time off the Mt Holdsworth Reserve is 2 km down the road and has many tramping tracks from half hour walks to few day long treks, we are located 15 minutes from Masterton and Carterton and are close to the tourist towns of Greytown and the Martinborough wine region and also close to New Zealands very own Stonehenge which hosts many astronomical activities due to the clarity of the sky here in the Wairarapa. All within 30 minutes of here... Locally there are buses and trains to transport between the towns and down to Wellington for a day out in our beautiful Capital City. Lots of things to do and see. Further afar in terms of access in that you need a car, are the glowworm caves south of Martinborough, Lake Wairarapa and Lake Ferry, the outstanding Pinnacles and the seal colony at Ngawi our local fishing village. Also Castle point is a must to visit to trek up to the lighthouse and also trek around the amazing scenery there. Not to mention Pukaha which is the local bird sanctuary near Masterton where our rare and endangered bird species are cared for and bred for release into the wild, a must visit if you are in the region.
If you are into biking trails and mountain biking there is much to choose from within the local and nearby regions.A little more information
