  Description

  Hello! We are a family of five: Beatrice 3 years old, Lionel who will be 1year old, Genevieve, Edouard and our dog Kito. We live in a beautiful town called Gaspé (in Gaspésie, Québec) which is surrounded by mountains and the sea. We live in the forest and the wonderful beach of Haldimand is 5 minutes drive from our home. As a family, we love to play outdoors and to do mountain bike, hiking, camping, etc. We enjoy meeting new people and discovering new cultures. We would need help to babysit mostly our son Lionel (and sometimes also his sister) during the summer because we won’t have a place at daycare for him yet (while Beatrice has a place). Lionel is a very happy baby who loves to smile and laugh and Beatrice is a caring sister who is curious, loves to tell stories and to play outdoors. We are eager to meet you!

  Gaspésie is one of the most beautiful region in the eastern part of Canada and is worth discovering. Gaspé is a lovely town surrounded by the sea and the mountains, where you can see whales, sea lions, mooses, bears, etc. There are many sports to do in Gaspé (such as hiking, mountain biking, swimming, kayaking, SUP) and also cultural activities with music festivals happening during summer.
  
  We are a French speaking family so you will be able to practice or learn this language (we speak also English but not our children). Our children bring a lot of joy in our home and are easy to love.
  We like to be outdoors and to be with people and we would be really happy to share theses moments with you.

  Help

  We would need help to babysit mostly our son Lionel (and sometimes also his sister) during the summer because we won’t have a place at daycare for him yet (while Beatrice has a place). We would be happy also to have help with routine tasks in the house such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. We are looking for someone who loves children, who likes to be outdoors, who is caring and reliable. It would be better to have a car and driving license (if you don’t have a car, it will be possible to borrow ours).
  
  Also, it is possible to help with taking care of our dog, with our garden and with DIY projects.

  Our first language is French. We would be happy to help someone learn or improve his use of French. We speak also English and Spanish (we are beginner or intermediate) and we would be happy to have the opportunity to practice the langages with you. Our children only speak French.

  Accommodation

  House of 2 floors and a basement. We have a renovated kitchen and spacious living room with many plants and sunlight. We have a veranda to eat outside. We are surrounded by forest with trails in it.
  
  You will have your own room in the basement (and we all sleep at the second floor so you will have your own space). The room has two windows and is sunny. It is quite big and also has a desk to work at. There is a separate door that goes straight to the basement. For the food, you will be welcomed to share all the meals with us and you will be allowed to eat whatever is in the fridge. We want you to feel at home at our house !

  We have a lot a space. We have a second land adjacent to the house where our small garden is and there is plenty of space for a campervan with a lot of intimacy.

  Dogs can be accepted under certain conditions, but no cats unfortunately (we are allergic).
