Our farm is a CSA (community supported agriculture). We produce veggies for our 30 participating families living n the nearby town of Sibiu. Also we sell on the weekly farmers market. We are a dutch couple, happily landed in Transylvania.
We are mainly self supporting and enjoy having guests and helpers. There still is a lot to develop. We plan to build a woodshed this summer and a summerkitchen. Our raspberry and blackcurrant plantations need attention too.
From our yard you can see the magnificent Carpathians, we are quite close to Transfagarasian highway. The village is quiet and peaceful. A stream flows at our doorstep. You can make wonderful hikes in your free time and meet our nice villagers.

You can learn a lot about growing vegetables and berries. My husband is a birdwatcher, you can learn a lot from him and he enjoys company hiking in the forest, searching for eagles nests. As we often have more volunteers, they can practice cultural exchange by conversating, or cooking.
We have a farm, not a project :), so sometimes it is hard work, for example when we make hay or weed our vegetables in the summer heat. In general we need positive, healthy volunteers. Sense of humour, independance and creativity are important to us.
