We are a Dutch/Spanish family with two children (11 and 14) living on a beautiful finca in the middle of a forest, surrounded by lots of land. We moved here four years ago to follow our dream of living closer to nature.
Life here is close to nature, outdoorsy and sometimes physically demanding, but always evolving. Living in a more remote place also means being flexible and adapting to the rhythms of nature and the seasons. We are developing different projects, mainly focused on permaculture and ecosystem restoration — learning as we go, with every season bringing something new.
We’re looking for a friendly and motivated person who enjoys a mix of tasks. This can include DIY projects (big and small), helping in the vegetable garden, feeding the animals and general day-to-day things around the finca.
It’s important to us that you like animals (cats, horses, chickens) and feel comfortable around children. We really appreciate someone who takes initiative, can work independently, and is also happy spending time on their own. At the same time, we enjoy sharing moments together as part of family life.
In return, we offer a beautiful place in nature, silence, shared meals, and the chance to learn and grow together 🌿

Somos una familia holandesa/española con dos hijos (11 y 14 años) que vive en una preciosa finca en medio de un bosque, rodeada de mucha naturaleza. Nos mudamos aquí hace cuatro años para vivir más cerca de la naturaleza.
La vida aquí está muy conectada con la naturaleza, es al aire libre y a veces físicamente exigente, pero siempre en evolución. Vivir en un lugar más aislado también significa ser flexible y adaptarse a los ritmos de la naturaleza y de las estaciones. Estamos desarrollando varios proyectos, sobre todo enfocados en la permacultura y la restauración de ecosistemas — aprendiendo sobre la marcha, con cada estación.
Buscamos una persona cercana y motivada, a la que le guste realizar tareas variadas. Esto puede incluir proyectos de bricolaje (grandes y pequeños), ayudar en el huerto, dar de comer a los animales y colaborar en el día a día de la finca.
Es importante que le gusten los animales (gatos, caballos, gallinas) y que se sienta a gusto con niños. Valoramos mucho a alguien con iniciativa, que pueda trabajar de forma independiente y que también esté a gusto pasando tiempo a solas. Al mismo tiempo, nos gusta compartir momentos como familia.
A cambio, ofrecemos un lugar precioso en plena naturaleza, silencio, comidas compartidas y la oportunidad de aprender y crecer juntos 🌿

Wij zijn een Nederlands/Spaans gezin met twee kinderen (11 en 14 jaar) en wonen op een prachtige finca midden in een bos, omringd door veel natuur. Vier jaar geleden zijn we hierheen verhuisd om dichter bij de natuur te leven.
Het leven hier is dicht bij de natuur, veel buiten en soms fysiek intensief, maar altijd in ontwikkeling. Wonen op een meer afgelegen plek betekent ook dat je flexibel moet zijn en je aanpast aan de ritmes van de natuur en de seizoenen. We zijn bezig met verschillende projecten, vooral gericht op permacultuur en ecosysteemherstel — en we leren al doende, met elk seizoen iets nieuws.
We zoeken een vriendelijk en gemotiveerd persoon die het leuk vindt om verschillende taken op te pakken. Dit kan bestaan uit klusprojecten (groot en klein), helpen in de moestuin, de dieren voeren en meedraaien in het dagelijks leven op de finca.
Het is belangrijk dat je van dieren houdt (katten, paarden, kippen) en je prettig voelt met kinderen. We waarderen iemand die initiatief neemt, zelfstandig kan werken en het ook fijn vindt om af en toe op zichzelf te zijn. Tegelijk vinden we het leuk om momenten samen te delen als gezin.
In ruil bieden we een mooie plek in de natuur, rust, samen eten en de kans om samen te leren en te groeien 🌿

We are looking for an enthusiastic and practical person who enjoys a variety of tasks (small and larger DIY projects), can help in the vegetable garden, and shows initiative and perseverance.
Tasks can include:
Keeping paths and shared spaces tidy and well maintained
Gardening in the vegetable garden
Helping in and around the house
Painting
Building projects using wooden pallets
Taking care of the animals
Helping with tiling a terrace
Chopping wood for the winter
Mowing the grass
Things can change quickly here, but there is always a new project to be part of on the land!

If you’re adventurous and want to bring your own caravan, that would be perfect — we have plenty of space to park it comfortably with beautiful mountain views.
We also have a small outdoor cabin where you’ll have your own private room (see photos).
There is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, including an oven, where you can cook your meals. For washing, there is a compost toilet and an outdoor shower, but you’re also welcome to use the shower in our house.
We really appreciate it if you can respect our family’s private time now and then. You’ll have plenty of freedom to enjoy your own space, while also sharing meals and moments together with us in a relaxed, nature-filled environment.
Meals are mostly vegetarian or vegan.

Si eres aventurero/a y quieres traer tu propia caravana, ¡sería perfecto! Tenemos mucho espacio donde instalarla cómodamente, con bonitas vistas a la montaña.
También contamos con una pequeña cabaña exterior donde tendrás tu propia habitación privada (ver fotos).
Hay una cocina exterior completamente equipada, incluido un horno, donde puedes preparar tus comidas. Para asearte, hay un baño compostable y una ducha exterior, aunque también puedes usar la ducha de nuestra casa.
Valoramos mucho que respetes los momentos de privacidad de nuestra familia de vez en cuando. Tendrás libertad para disfrutar de tu propio espacio, al mismo tiempo que compartes comidas y momentos con nosotros en un ambiente relajado y lleno de naturaleza.

Als je avontuurlijk bent en je eigen caravan wilt meenemen, zou dat perfect zijn — we hebben genoeg ruimte om deze comfortabel te parkeren, met mooi uitzicht op de bergen.
Daarnaast hebben we een klein buitenverblijf waar je je eigen privé-kamer hebt (zie foto’s).
Er is een volledig uitgeruste buitenkeuken, inclusief oven, waar je je maaltijden kunt bereiden. Voor het wassen is er een composttoilet en een buitendouche, maar je kunt ook de douche in ons huis gebruiken.
We waarderen het zeer als je ons als gezin af en toe wat privé-tijd gunt. Je hebt genoeg vrijheid om van je eigen ruimte te genieten, terwijl je ook samen maaltijden en momenten met ons deelt in een ontspannen, natuurrijke omgeving.

Our house is located in the beautiful Parc del Montnegre and Corredor, a lush natural area surrounded by forest — perfect for nature lovers.
The nearest bus stop is about a 30-minute walk away, and the bus can take you to Mataró, where you can catch a train to Barcelona (around 40 minutes). By car, the nearest beaches, including Mataró, Cabrera, and Vilassar de Mar, are just 25 minutes away.
The area is ideal for hiking and cycling, with thousands of trails to explore in the forest and surrounding hills.
While public transport is available for trips to the beach or the city, we recommend having your own car to make the most of your stay and enjoy the freedom to explore the area at your own pace.

Nuestra casa se encuentra en el hermoso Parc del Montnegre y Corredor, una zona natural rodeada de bosque — perfecta para los amantes de la naturaleza.
La parada de autobús más cercana está a unos 30 minutos a pie, y el autobús te lleva a Mataró, desde donde puedes tomar un tren a Barcelona (aproximadamente 40 minutos). En coche, las playas más cercanas, como Mataró, Cabrera y Vilassar de Mar, están a solo 25 minutos.
La zona es ideal para practicar senderismo y ciclismo, con miles de rutas para explorar en el bosque y las colinas cercanas.
Aunque hay transporte público disponible para ir a la playa o a la ciudad, recomendamos tener coche propio para aprovechar al máximo tu estancia y disfrutar de la libertad de explorar la zona a tu propio ritmo.

Ons huis ligt in het prachtige Parc del Montnegre en Corredor, een groene natuurlijke omgeving midden in het bos — perfect voor natuurliefhebbers.
De dichtstbijzijnde bushalte ligt op ongeveer 30 minuten lopen, en de bus brengt je naar Mataró, vanwaar je een trein naar Barcelona kunt nemen (ongeveer 40 minuten). Met de auto zijn de dichtstbijzijnde stranden, waaronder Mataró, Cabrera en Vilassar de Mar, slechts 25 minuten verwijderd.
De omgeving is ideaal om te wandelen en fietsen, met duizenden routes om te ontdekken in het bos en de omliggende heuvels.
Hoewel er openbaar vervoer beschikbaar is om naar het strand of de stad te gaan, raden we aan een eigen auto te hebben om je verblijf optimaal te benutten en de vrijheid te hebben om de omgeving op je eigen tempo te verkennen.
