  • Description

    Description

My name is Simon Tumuhimbise Simak, aged 32 years, a Ugandan qualified and experienced tourist guide and driver. I also have a bachelor's degree in agricultural land use and management from Makerere university.
I love meeting new people and exchanging ideas.
I also love swimming, camping, road trips, tour/safari guiding, cooking, watching movies and travelling.

Eight years ago, I ventured into hotel management as part of my love for tourism and hospitality. I now own two hotels in Kabale town which all offer accommodation, conference facilities, bar and restaurants.

I have small budget guest houses in the heart of Kabale that offer employment and services to both local and foreign people. Both hotels comprise of 16 local workers. You will easily enrich yourself with our local language and culture, and also get to do community walks within your free time.

One has 16 well furnished guest rooms, 300 seater conference hall, 400 seater garden for cultural functions, a famous well stocked bar/restaurant called Wakanda lounge & grill which is built out of art of wood, storied and overlooking the main town center from the middle of makanga hill. Also a camping ground for backpackers.
It is a ten minutes walk from the bus stop.

The other has 25 guest rooms, 100 seater conference hall, well stocked bar and restaurant.
It is located in the center of the main town of kabale making it easy to market and provide services to walk-in clients and by passers (both local and international customers)
It is five minutes walk from the bus stop.

I am currently in need of improving on internet marketing, deejaying, and also any other entertainment like music band, singing, miming, karaoke and comedy is ideal.
I would also want to introduce talent promotion to the local community since I have enough space for training and showcasing. Teaching music instruments, singing, emceeing, etc.
I also need Spanish and French teachers to equip me and my people with the language skills.
I also need people interested in volunteering as tourist/travel guides.

Kabale town is located in southwestern Uganda, neighbouring Rwanda and 2hours drive from Kanombe airport in Kigali, also 7hours drive from Entebbe international airport.

The town is only 3 miles away from the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi which is Uganda's number one swimming destination for tourists, Uganda's deepest lake with fresh water free from bilharzia and composed of 29 islands. It is also a good destination for campers.

Kabale district possesses a big part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park which is a home to the biggest population of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Kabale is also two hours drive from the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park which was named after the Queen Elizabeth of England. The park comprises of the biggest number of African elephants in Uganda, huge herds of buffalos and antelopes, leopards, tree climbing lions in its southern sector, two great rift valley lakes that are joined by the kazinga channel which harbours many hippos, crocodiles and other water mammals and birds.

Kabale is also two and a half hours drive from the beautiful lake mburo national park which harbours the biggest population of zebras and impalas of Uganda. It is named after lake mburo which is also a favourable habitat for hippos, crocodiles and other water mammals and birds.
I own 60 acres of land near this national park where I do agriculture and forestry, and also planning to put up a beautiful adventure park in future in the same location.
Zip lining, camping and many other activities will make the place extremely amazing

Local farming and also use of local farming tools is another rich experience.
Traditional dances and songs especially at festivals that hosts will excite you too.
There is a motorcycle and bicycle garage in the hotel backyard which if interested will also equip you with such local skills and instructions with our local mechanics.
