    Description

Halo everyone I am ELLY a physician assistant (clinical officer) by profession, 25 years old from Masaka ,Uganda working with a local health sciences research organization in Uganda and also operating medical clinic in our country capital Kampala .

Back in 2013 me and my fellow team we engaged in Virtuous Samaritan deeds which are still ongoing centered at our medical clinic which serves the local community at a free cost and some services at a very slight fee. We are; offering amenities like immunization, Planned Parenthood, medical services, simple surgical services, laboratory services among others.

At this moment this medical clinic acts as a heart for our non-medical work; ie averting diseases, conducting healthiness camps in the countryside, promoting socio-economic development and status of vulnerable and disadvantaged women, youths and men in the community, setting and adopting behavioral change communication strategy and Primary Health Care (PHC) services.

We work with diverse sects of people, secular and some religious. Our focus is simply to help people wherever they are. We make no distinctions based on race, religion, social strata or tribe. Among what we do includes the following ;
    Research in health sciences fields.

 Primary health care and Community health work which includes health camps, mentoring, and home visiting.

 Maternal health care e.g. safe motherhood

     Adolescents health development programs

 Communicable and non-communicable disease treatment and prevention, for example STI/HIV/AIDS, Malaria, hypertension among others.

 Empowerment programs e.g. trainings, micro-finance, social welfare which includes giving out aid inform of simple life basics like clothes, soap, sugar, etc.

    What else ...

Uganda is a country situated in East Africa and is landlocked. Its blessed with an astounding climate, tropical rain forests, prodigious fine-looking flora and fauna with great food, exceptional vistas in the country side, snowcapped mountains throughout the year , beautiful UNESCO sites, the second largest fresh water lake in the world ( lake victoria) , the second longest river in the world ( river Nile), unique hot springs ,endangered mountain gorillas, the equator among others . These miraculous features besides volunteering and helping in our humanitarian works will leave your journey categorically bewildering. From bird watching to sun bathing, boat riding, meat roasting, camping, mountain climbing, fishing, wildlife gazing et;. these and many more activities will never leave you the same.

Kampala is a city in Uganda 32 kilometers from the Entebbe international airport. It is a splendid metropolitan on the shores of lake victoria; gifted with fabulous restaurants, good shopping malls, good transport means, amazing hotels . Kampala is an exquisite secure urban, with diverse cultures and lots of sweet hobbies to do in your free time with a great night life.

Masaka my home town, is a municipality relatively smaller than Kampala and it is 125km west of kampala, with the very infrastructure found in Kampala.

Visiting Uganda doesn’t need you to get a visa from Uganda’s consular office in your country or electronically rather you can be given a tourist visa which is given immediately at arrival on the airport at a fee of 50US Dollars per individual , this visa lasts 3 months however it can be extended beyond 3 months.
