Description
We're a loving family with four children who are all young adults. At the moment, only our youngest, 15 year old, lives here. The mother of this family has recently broken her right shoulder and we now need help with gardening and day to day chores.

Help
We're a busy household with lots to do! At the moment, due to Emilia's injury there's even more to do. There's lots of laundry, cleaning, housekeeping, cooking, and especially gardening to be done - we can't manage it all on our own!
We're pretty flat out (often exhausted) and want people with us that are hardworking and domesticated, ie can clean up after themselves (yes, that means clean up after yourself, pick up your towel, wash up, keep your room tidy, etc!). We are extremely appreciative of your help and you will be treated with a lot of respect and care. With Emilia injured, there's shopping, cooking and evening kitchen cleanups to do and some basic help supporting her to get her shoes on!
The ideal workaway is someone who is independent and self-organised. Some workaway requests want more time and cultural exchange than we can offer! Our dynamic is to share meals, share life but also allow each other space to relax and have time out. Workawayers seeking a lot of language support, intense cultural exchange, mental health support and lots of involvement may feel disappointed! We're just a little too overwhelmed at times. But if you are self-directed, hard working, happy to help, happy to do your own thing, you'll fit in well. Generally, one week stays work best for us but we could offer a longer stay if it works out.
We're also looking for positive role models for our son (no heavy drug/alcohol users).
And interested in getting to know you too. The mother of this family speaks Spanish and is learning Italian and French, so language practice is very welcome.Languages spoken

What else ...
We live in a stunning absolute waterfront home, 3 minutes walk to Bronte Beach, one of the nicest in Sydney. It's right on the bus route into town, 30-40 minutes to the city.
We live in a considerate and respectful household. We are trying hard to make our teen son house-trained. Please understand we want people staying with us that are helpful too.
We love a laugh and a good time, but we're not a 'party house'.
There's also bicycles available for your use.A little more information

It was lovely to have you around. You are very well mannered and mellow plus your work ethic is very admirable. We're very grateful for all the timber oiling you did and hope you didn't find it too boring. Hope you settle back into home life easily but if you do come back to Australia in the future you can count on a room in Sydney… read more
