    Description

Ciao! We are Aldo and Tania. Aldo is Italian from Veneto and Tania is Lebanese from Beirut. After many years of backpacking together we've decided to put some roots in Cilento National Park.

In 2025, we bought a piece of land with the intention of connecting deeper with nature, living more sustanaibly, and working towards self sufficiency. Eventually we plan to build a natural home on it, for now we live in a rental nearby.

Our land is overlooking the Mediterranean sea surrounded by hills and mountains. We have an old oak forest, and olive orchard, some fruit trees, and a small veggie garden. It's a very steepy land with an elevation gain of 100m, but it's very dynamic and each corner is quite unique.

    Location:
We are located on the hills of Torraca at 450 meters, 2km from the town, and a 15 minute drive from the sea and main town, Sapri. It's a very peaceful place, with a few farms nearby, wild nature, and a stunning sea and mountain panorama.

Torraca itself is a charming old town where it feels like going back in time. Sapri, the main town, is just a 15 minute drive away and has all the amenities, different restaurants, gelaterias etc. and it can be reached by high speed train. Being in Cilento National Park, we are surrounded by stunning beaches, hiking trails, mountains, rivers, and wild nature.

You will get a real taste of the lifestyle in a typical small Italian town in the southern countryside. You'll learn about homestead life, plants, natural farming, foraging, transformation, and fermentation. We are so curious about these topics so we would love to learn from you too!

Tania is also a certified yoga teacher and can share a lot about meditation, yoga, and pranayama.

Having spent years traveling before settling down in one place, we now look forward to letting the world come to us. We're happy to share our own adventures traveling and diving in different corners of the world. We'd also love to hear about your journey, experiences, and interests, and enjoy meaningful conversations where we can exchange ideas, knowledge, and stories.

We are vegan and big foodies! Aldo is an amazing cook and we'll share with you some of our homestead creations, traditional Lebanese, Italian, and Indian food for our shared meals together. We would also absolutely love eating some of your own local food too if that is something you'd like to share :)

    Help

The kind of help we need depends on when you can join us and the skills or interests you'd like to share. We always help alongside each other.. sometimes in silence with a meditative attitude and sometimes chatting and exchanging ideas.

Some other activities we do that we need help with:
    - Growing our own vegetables with natural farming method
    - Helping in the kitchen creating preserves and ferments for our winter pantry
    - Harvesting fruit, veggies, and herbs for our own food and medicine
    - Foraging wild herbs and mushrooms in the forests/beaches nearby to enjoy
    - Creating seed balls and sowing green manure to regenerate the soil
    - Taking care of our home, light cleaning, cooking, etc.
    - Caring for our lovely cat, Favino :)

From mid-end of October we always need an extra pair of hands with the olive harvest which we collect for our own needs and gift to family and friends.
