    Description

    Hello, good evening.

I’m Aldo; I live and work in Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil.

I work for the São Paulo Metropolitan Train Company as a train driver—a role I’ve held since 2011. I operate various train models, transporting thousands of passengers every day.
I am a decent person; I dislike extravagance, and I believe in always respecting others. I am 45 years old, and my mother, who lives with me, is 60.

We live in an apartment complex right next to the train station and very close to Guarulhos International Airport. The complex is a very peaceful place surrounded by excellent green spaces—a great spot for exercise. There is a police station on the street, making it a truly great place to live.

Access to the train allows for connections across all of São Paulo via the rail and metro network, meaning one can quickly visit and travel throughout the entire capital city.
I am currently studying English in depth, as well as Mandarin (though I am still a beginner in the latter).

My mother and I are happy to welcome guests from other countries who are interested in this cultural exchange of information and ideas. I am a Christian and respect everyone's beliefs; in fact, I respect everyone as a fellow human being on this wonderful planet Earth. There is no forced labor or any of the negative things one might hear about on the internet here—just a genuine cultural exchange.

    Sincerely, Aldo

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

In this condominium where we live, it is very peaceful and quiet. There are many squares nearby and areas for walking and running. There is a supermarket, a train station, and a bus station next to the condominium.
Brazilian people are very welcoming and friendly.
I believe this will be a very meaningful and interesting cultural exchange, especially for sharing and learning new languages.
My English level is B1, and I am starting to take my first steps in Mandarin Chinese, Mandarim.

    Help

I would like help with practicing English through daily conversations, as well as some light household tasks such as keeping shared spaces organized, light cleaning, and helping with cooking. I’m also interested in cultural exchange and learning about different languages, traditions, and ways of life.

This host offers a language exchange
I am currently at an intermediate level in English and I have just started learning Mandarin Chinese, so I am still a complete beginner. My main preference is to improve both English and Mandarin through language exchange. However, for Mandarin practice, it is important that the other person has at least an intermediate level of English, so we can communicate effectively during the learning process. In return, I would also be happy to teach Portuguese to anyone who is interested. I believe language exchange is a great opportunity for mutual learning, cultural exchange, and meaningful communication.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We live in a quiet and secure gated condominium in a green and peaceful area. The apartment is on the third floor, and although there is no elevator, the stairs are easy to use and the building is very open and comfortable.

Guests will have their own private room, which is not shared with anyone else, providing comfort and privacy during their stay. They will also have access to fast and reliable internet.

The environment is calm, safe, and surrounded by nature, which makes it a very relaxing place to stay.

Meals are provided by me, but guests are expected to participate by helping with cooking and keeping the shared spaces clean and organized. I believe this is a great way to create a balanced and cooperative living experience.

I am also flexible with food and can adapt meals based on the guest’s cultural background and dietary preferences, as I understand that food habits can vary widely between cultures.

Overall, the idea here is to offer a simple, friendly, and peaceful environment that supports cultural exchange, learning, and mutual respect.
