Description
Family near Freiburg looking for friendly help with children & household
Hello and welcome to our profile!
We are a warm and open family of four living in Schliengen, Baden-Württemberg, a beautiful rural area in the southwest of Germany. The nearest larger cities are Freiburg im Breisgau and Lörrach, both easily reachable by public transport.
Our two children are 8 and 7 years old and attend primary school (1st and 2nd grade). We are looking for a kind, reliable and family-oriented person (preferably female) to support us in our daily routine from as soon as possible until at least the end of May (around 3 months).
### What we are looking for
Your main focus would be helping with our children and supporting us in everyday family life. Tasks include:
- Picking up the children from school
- Helping with homework
- Playing with the children and spending relaxed time together
- Cooking simple meals
- Light household tasks (tidying up, small chores)
- Occasionally helping on two Saturdays per month
(You will always get a weekday off in return.)
### Working hours
- Monday to Friday, approx. 15:30 – 20:00/21:00
- Around 5 hours per day during the week
- Shared family dinner in the evening
- Some flexibility is important, but we value clear agreements
### Language & mobility
- Basic German skills are welcome, especially to help with homework
- English is very welcome – we are happy if you support our children in improving their English
- A driving licence is NOT required
- The school is only 10 minutes walking distance
- Public transport is easily accessible
### What we offer
- A private room in our large house with plenty of space
- A calm and welcoming family environment
- All meals included (no special dietary requirements)
- Pocket money (to be discussed individually)
- Plenty of free time during the mornings and weekends
- A genuine cultural exchange and the chance to become part of our family life
### Good to know
- We do not have pets
- No allergies or special diet in the family
- EU citizens only (due to visa regulations)
- Non-smoker preferred
- We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a family, not a hotel guest
We would love to get to know you via a video call before making a decision and are happy to answer any questions.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
