Help in the garden and forest in Normandy for nature-lovers, France

  Description

  We live in a house surrounded by nature in Normandy, close to Lisieux. We own several hectares of land (forest, pastures, and orchards) and we love your help to maintain it. Most of the work will be outdoors (mostly cutting, trimming trees, hedge, grass, thorn bushes). Depending on the needs at a specific time, we may also need help on maintenance of the property and diy projects.
  We are French but are multi-cultural as we lived several years in other countries (US, Mauritania, Senegal, UK, Switzerland, Benin). We are passionnate travellers : combining the 2 of us, we have been on every continent including Antarctica. We are both fluent in English and French. We also speak very basic Spanish, German, and Wolof.
  We provide 2 bicycles for you to go around easily.
  Accommodation will be on the top floor of the house, where you will have your own bedroom and bathroom (either 2 separate beds or a big bed depending on what you prefer).
  High speed Internet.
  
  Benoit is strictly vegetarian while Marielle eats meat only occasionally. Our meals are therefore mostly vegetarian.
  
  We are both non-smokers and smoking isn't allowed inside the house.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Allows you to discover Normandy and the Lisieux region. We are travelers and will be happy to discuss travel. We speak English fluently. Opportunity to learn the basics of vermiculture.

  Help

  We mainly ask for help with the garden: mowing the lawn, clearing brush, pruning, planting, watering, cutting wood. Depending on the needs of the moment, participate in general maintenance, do DIY.
  
  Nous demandons principalement de l'aide pour le jardin : tondre la pelouse, débroussailler, tailler, planter, arroser, couper du bois.
  En fonction des besoins du moment, participer à l'entretien général, faire du bricolage.

  Accommodation

  1 bedroom with a choice of 1 double bed or 2 single beds. Private bathroom. Small private living room with TV. The house is located in a natural setting, with more than 80 hectares of pasture and forest around.

  La maison est située dans un écrin de nature, avec plus de 80 hectares de pâturages et foret aux alentours.

  Walks in the surroundings. Visit to a goat farm. 2 bicycles available. TV for your personal use. Library available. Board games. If you have a good tennis level, Benoit will be happy to play with you. We lead a quiet life, we work at home most of the time. Simple and vegetarian meals.

  Si vous avez un bon niveau au tennis, Benoit sera ravi de jouer avec vous.
