In the remote beach of Arequipa region, were many coves or small bays are, is set this ecolodge and scallops marine farm, in front of one of the most beautiful beaches of Peru, on an alien landscape of desertic coast line. Few years ago was only reachable navigating for 20km, now a new highway is near and we have a dirt road access. Home of many marine life, where the locals are the Humboldt penguins, sea otters and many sea lions and sea birds. We are a family run project that aims to protect this area of urban development and overexploitation of marine resources, being guardians of this place for the past 20 years.
It's mandatory that you speak Spanish at least as intermediate level, and be over 23 years old, with time for a minimum period of 3 weeks with us as volunteers.

    What else ...

There are different remote and desolate coves with beaches on a walking distance, transport is not easy to take, so you might end up exploring a lot walking (bring snickers), this area is remote and barely deep explored. Inside the property there is a 400 hundred year old anchor of whom nobody knows anything at all, it might be pin marking something.
5km navigating south, is the location of a national park, were sea lions, penguins and thousand of sea birds live. A tour to this place will be provided as a treat when we get free spaces on the boat if you stay 3 weeks or more with us.
