We are looking for someone who is very good with children and whom can help around the house for a family of seven. Some of the help needed includes watching the kids from time-to-time, maybe teaching the children about yourself and culture, and some light duty work around the house or yard.
We reside in a log cabin homestead on the Catoctin Mountain conveniently 10 minutes away from downtown Frederick, Maryland. Our house is a rancher style log cabin placed on seven acres of wooded land. Our property has several trails for ATV riding, biking and hiking. We have an extra bedroom for privacy if you decide to stay with us. We also have several animals including egg-laying chickens, a duck, pit-boxer mix dog and an outdoor tabby cat. We live between Cunningham Falls and Gambrill State Park If you enjoy the great outdoors and activities such as trail riding, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing or even hunting.
If you enjoy historic urban centers, then downtown Frederick is for you. The City of Frederick is the hub of arts, culture, commerce and government within Frederick County. Located less than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, Frederick is the second largest city in Maryland with 65,000 residents. Frederick was founded in 1745 by German settlers, and is a city rich in heritage, opportunity and innovation. It is located between the Civil War battlegrounds of Monocacy, Antietam and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Downtown Frederick has impressive architecture and public art works abound in the historic district where you’re never more than a few blocks from one of four impressive performance and fine art centers or a host of private galleries. On 22 weekends each year, downtown Frederick and neighboring 54-acre Baker Park play host to special events which include weekly summer concerts, monthly gallery walks, children’s theatrical performances, and other events which celebrate the season.
