Description
We are a couple, originally from Venezuela: Carlos (myself), Engineer and Permaculturist, and Rocío (my wife) a Surgeon and avid runner.
at the moment we are living almost full time in Germany and spending part of the winter in Chile.
We have a 1,8 Hectares (4,5 acres) piece of land in the beautiful and pristine Northern Patagonia in Chile (Specifically 4km from the little town of Futaleufu). We are starting to design and build a Permaculture teaching center and farm, and we could definitely use help preparing the land.
We have a beautiful plot, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains, we share almost 200m of coast of the Espolon River, where we can swim and refresh during the hot summer days, and more than 1 hectare of native forest to enjoy and hang your hammock.Types of help and learning opportunities

Among the things you can take from this experience, I can mention:
- Learning or improving greatly your Spanish language skills
- Learning about Permaculture design and sustainable projects as well and put it into practice
- Enjoying a laid back schedule and work pace
- Getting to see and enjoy some of the most beautiful and pristine places still almost untouched on earth.
- If you like outdoor adventures and sports, this is also the place to visit: Kayaking, white water rafting, climbing, mountain bike, trail running , hiking etc..
- Since my wife and I enjoy a good hike or trail run , we can do some sport together as well!
- The goal is for both us and for you to enjoy this beautiful place and to build meaningful relationships, while you give us a hand working to make our dream of creating this project come true.Help
Tasks required would be mainly:
- Landscaping in general (clearing branches, transplanting small trees, trimming and prunning, etc)
- Potentially Helping setting up basic infraestructure like compost boxes, microcabins, outdoor showers etc (if there is enough time and budget)
- Implementing regenerative strategies to set up our future no-till gardens.
- Giving a helping hand in the general activities related to this project.
No special skills are needed, just a positive attitude and will to help us!

We plan to provide all basic groceries as found at the local farms and supermarket. Vegetarian and Vegan diets will be of course respected and ingredients provided. What else ...
To enjoy during your time off, there are just so many outdoor activities... you can go rafting the Futaleufu river, one of the top 3 withewater rivers in the world. You can also visit some of the beautiful lakes around, like Lake Espolon, Lake Lonconao etc. beautiful excursions and hikes all around, or just enjoying the great gastronomy and nightlife in the town of Futaleufu, full of small restaurants and cafes.
Here you can meet likeminded people from all around the world, some of them have already started their own projects in the area, like a small camping run by a Dutch lady, or the italian kayak instructors, or the German adventurers who are traveling through the whole Patagonia on their bycicles...A little more information
