HELP US GIVING MEALS TO PEOPLE ON THE STREET ( we mainly host for 1 week )

    Dear future volunteers,

we are always happy for people who would like to help us bring hot meals out to the homeless people that stay on the streets.
We are running a small mobile soupkitchen in Bodhgaya and support people with free meals.

The Soupkitchen is not running every day but you can also help out at the primary school.

Since 2009 we are running 2 primaryschools in a Village of Bodhgaya/ Bihar in northern India. Bihar is considered as one of the poorest and underdeveloped states of India and acess to good education is rare in the rural areas. Bodhgaya is the place where the historical Buddha "Siddartha Gautama" was enlightened under a Bodhitree. Bodhgaya is a pilgrimage side for many Buddhists from all over the world.
An NGO was founded after several years of travelling the world. When Michael met his good friend and Chairman of the project, they decited to run a soupkitchen for the poorest families in the surrounding villages. The soupkitchen soon became a primary school with 130 children nowadays. The NGO gets funded by donations mainly from Germany, the US and more european countries.
In order to become more selfsustainable Michael and Murari have started a Guesthouse in 2012 which is attached to the Ngo.

    ART PROJECTS WITH THE STUDENTS

We are looking for helpers that would like to do art projects with our students at both Primary schools in Bodhgaya India.
One of our schools is a primary school for girls in a rural village called Karma.

The school doesnt have an art teacher and it would be wonderful if we could find a person who wants to be creative with the children there.

We have plenty of walls that can be painted. Also we appreciate your ideas and creative passion.

You can realise your own projects and we gratefully let you do it.

If you need material such as paper, paints, brushes and other things we will happily pay for it.

The children will be very grateful.

There is no fixed amount of hours that you have to help. For us it is important that you feel relaxed here and work when you feel comfortable.

We are looking forward hearing from you

    Michael
