Two years ago we bought a historical manor in the South of France to run as a bed and breakfast, grow fruit and vegetables and raise sheep. The idea was to offer guests the experience of a working castle with friendly quiet surrounds in a historical location. We found our dream just outside Figeac in a vibrant community with many interesting historical sights and beautiful villages, caves, plateaus and of course the oak forests, stone walls and river cultures.
The Manor is being renovated a little here and there but the main aim is to keep it as simple as it has been handed to us. We bought it of the family who had taken care of it for the last 125 years and we intend to take equally good care of it leaving it to the next generations filled with history, stories both told and untold.
