    Description

Hi, we are Carine (the Netherlands) and Ricardo (Portugal) and we are aiming to live an off-grid life at the coast in the north of Portugal. Our land lies between the ria de Aveiro and the Atlantic ocean in a forest that ends at the beach. We live together with our friend Virginie (Portugal), 4 dogs (of which one is blind), 3 cats, 5 horses and one pony.
We are an easy going couple that likes to surf, sail on our little sailboat in the ria de Aveiro and ride our horses and we keep an healthy lifestyle.
We started our project from scratch recently in a beautiful surrounding.

The area we live is still quite traditional. You can find the traditional fisherman’s lifestyle (arte xavega). Ria de Aveiro is the biggest wetland in Portugal and it’s a famous bird watch area, including the beautiful flamingos. Also we have bikes to explore the surroundings. The ocean is at the end of our land with a big beach with only some fisherman visiting.
