Description
Aaron, a Yoga teacher, and Superhost has been accommodating travellers on various reputable sites for a few years, moreover, he has an impeccable track record and will be handling the day to day operations to accommodate every individual need. Dean has a Catering and IT background and will be working behind the scenes to ensure smooth facilitating of all operations. Julia, also a Yoga teacher and an essential part of the family, has been managing the hostel since 2016. She helps in all aspects of the daily running of the hostel and takes care of the Workawayers. Together we form a great team and hope to give the guests the best service possible.
We are a small team and believe in life values. We treat ourselves and the people around us with respect and are always there to help. We are looking for like-minded people to help our team and experience the beautiful hostel life.
Our hostel is located in Sliema, one of the most popular tourist destinations on the idyllic Maltese islands. The Hostel is located in a village core on a very peaceful street. It's a five-minute walk from the beach in the beautifully situated Sliema promenade. It's also within walking distance from one of the top shopping destinations in Malta, while also being surrounded by great hot spots, bars, and restaurants, the bus stops and ferries to our capital city Valletta are also a stone's throw away.Types of help and learning opportunities

The Workawayers would be in a fun environment & constantly meeting travellers from around the world. They would also be in a prime location in Malta, 300 meters from the beach and promenade.
Also there is an opportunity to learn about Maltese culture & cuisine.
Also learn/practice new languages & vegetarian cooking.

This host offers accommodation and payment.
Host has indicated that they will pay at least the minimum hourly wage of their country for each hour worked and that accommodation will also be provided. We are looking for 4 types of helpers :)
1) Multi-tasking Workawayer
A Workawayer for the daily running of the hostel. The person needs to be creative while having a keen eye for detail as cleanliness is the most important factor in the house.
Daily duties include cleaning the house, setting up the beds, meeting and greeting the guests, check-ins & check-outs. Other duties might include shopping, painting and taking care of the plants.
It would be a plus if the helper could do some artwork in the house.
We are a young hostel so we are always looking for fresh ideas and things to improve.
Ideally, the helper stay for a minimum of 2 month+, but we will consider even 1month+
1) Workawayer
Your weekly hours can be between 15hrs to 25hrs.
3 to 5 hours a day, 5 times a week. (might include the weekends)
The hours will be agreed together depending on your needs and ours :)

2) Head of team / Supervisor
We are looking for an English speaking, positive, enthusiastic, meticulous, mature, motivated, hardworking and committed Workawayer that wants to go the extra mile to help with the guests.
The ideal Workawayer would be fluent in English and any other language would be a plus.
Have a good knowledge of computers, office and more is a must.
Having past ventures in Hostels/Hotels or hospitality would also help.
We are looking for one Workawayer that wants to live in the hostel and work 25hrs a week.
For this position, the Workawayer should be willing to stay a minimum of 3 months. Availability to stay longer would be a plus.
Duties would include answering emails, greeting and welcoming guests, office duties, answering to the management, helping and supervising the team, checking that the hostel is up to our standard and more.
For the right candidate, we would be willing to offer a contract and a payment package.

3) Carpenter ideally with experience of Camper Van conversations.
2015 Iveco daily panel van to turn into camper van.
The duties include
Opening apertures on ceiling, insulation, solar panels & electricity, custom bed, shelving and kitchen.

4) Artists welcome :) - any time of the year
Artists can come for a short stay, usually around 1 week,
We would love artists that have experience in artwork or murals to contact us.

During their time off the helpers have plenty to do, from visiting the oldest standing temples in the world to swimming in the blue lagoon crystal clear blue sea. We are situated very close to valletta(5min boat ride) and the nearest bus stop Antik has all the major connections covered.

I helped for 4 months and enjoyed every moment of it! The hostel is chilled and laid back and really clean! ;)
