    Description

Come and live with our family in the beautiful Southern Highlands, NSW. You will be staying with myself and my partner, and our toddler, along with 2 elderly cats . We have a comfortable house with plenty of space in Bowral close to the village. You will have your own room with an ensuite bathroom. We are right next to the beautiful Cherry Tree walk, which takes you on a short walk right into the village. The Southern Highlands is a beautiful rural area with plenty of bush walking, country views, quaint villages, delicious food, and friendly people. It is perfect for nature lovers, and still close to Sydney (via car or train). We are a Dutch Australian couple (our child is bilingual). You will be helping us with gardening (weeding, watering, establishing new gardens), cooking and meal preparation, and helping keep our very busy 2 year old entertained. If you have experience/ expertise in any sort of construction or landscaping we would love to hear from you to start to get our garden more established with garden beds etc, as well as odd tasks around the house.

Come and stay in a stunning part of Australia, with beautiful rural areas to explore. And enjoy living with a "typical" Australian-Dutch family, becoming part of our day to day life, including meals. I am Australian and my partner is Dutch, and our toddler a mix of both. We love connecting with other people and nature, and look forward to meeting new people from around the world.

    Help

When staying with us, we hope that you can help us with gardening, including weeding, mulching, as well as establishing new garden beds and planting out new areas. Some basic help with caring for our little one, like playing with him while we do some help around the house. If you are interested in cooking, we would love to learn and experience your cuisine, as well as share ours with you. If you have experience/expertise in construction/handyman work we have many odd tasks around the house as well as landscaping tasks in the garden.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You will have your own bedroom with a queen bed, as well as an ensuite bathroom.
We will make all meals available to you for your stay. This will likely be family breakfasts and dinners enjoyed together (if you choose!), and lunches may be more "prepare yourself" depending on activities in the day. We generally aim to eat a whole-foods nourishing diet including plenty of veggies, with some meat, and most meals home-cooked. We attempt to live a fairly low-tox lifestyle as much as we are able. If you like cooking, this could be part of your help when with us.

    What else ...

There is plenty of exploring to do in the local area in your free time, including bushwalking, water-falls, beautiful little rural villages, as well as cafes, and restaurants to enjoy. There is a train station walking distance from our house (we can also drop you when suitable!). We are a 2 hour train trip or 1.5 hours drive to Sydney CBD. We are also one hour from multiple stunning South Coast beaches including Kiama, and Jervis Bay.
