We are horse trekking yard which is family run. The business is on a family owned farm over which the treks ride. The center is set in unspoiled scenery in the Wicklow mountains. The farm runs along the Kings River on the lower side while on the higher side, stone walled fields lead upwards towards Wicklow national park. The landscape also follows St. Kevin’s way, the ancient pilgrim walk which leads to Glendalough.
We have 30 horses and ponys at the trekking center, catering for all levels of riders who can choose between trekking or lessons. The student who comes to work here will be involved in taking out treks, aiding and teaching lessons and other aspects of running a trekking centre such as preparing, feeding and caring for the horses and the trekking centre.
Workawayers will stay with us and are welcome to take part in all aspects of our lives.

Live as part of an Irish rural family, improve their English language and also improve their horsemanship skills through the breaking, schooling and general bringing on of young stock.
The location of the trekking centre lends itself very well to visiting cultural hot spots in Ireland. Dublin is easily accessible, while in our own locality, Glendalough offers ample historical experiences and hiking.
As this is a family run business, travelers will gain insight into the running of a business and also gain a sense of belonging to a close knit, rural community.
