    Description

Hello! My name is Rajan Chaudhary, and I welcome you to our farm in Haryana, India. If you need a break from traveling through crowded cities or want to rest in a calm, natural setting, our farm is the perfect place for you.

I live here with my wife, Jogindro, who prepares traditional Haryanvi cuisine—simple, wholesome meals that reflect the rich food culture of Haryana. Most of the food we serve is organic and freshly sourced from our farm, offering you a true farm-to-table experience.

You will stay in mud-plastered rooms with proper Wi-Fi connections, allowing you to enjoy a balance between traditional village life and modern comfort. Our farm spans four acres, filled with fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and thousands of medicinal plants. We also have cows, which we consider sacred and treat as part of our family. They graze freely on the farm, providing us with fresh, organic dairy products like milk, ghee, and buttermilk, which contribute to a nourishing and healthy lifestyle.

The main activities here take place on the farm, where you can engage in organic farming, planting, harvesting, and cattle care. You can also contribute in other ways, such as cooking or digital projects like social media and website work. In your free time, you can explore the village, interact with locals, witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, or watch the many birds that visit the farm. If you enjoy yoga or meditation, you are welcome to practice it in nature with beautiful views of our farm.

This is also a great opportunity for cultural exchange. You can learn about the local traditions, Hindi and Haryanvi languages, and the simple yet meaningful way of life in rural India. At the same time, you can share your own culture, traditions, and language with us and other volunteers, creating a space for mutual learning and connection.

We believe in creating a welcoming environment where you will be treated as a family member, not just a volunteer. Your time here will not only be enriching but will also benefit your well-being. We have started an initiative called ‘One Step Towards Nature,’ and by staying with us, you become a part of our community that values sustainability, simplicity, and harmony with nature.

This is more than just a stay—it’s a chance to reconnect with nature, experience authentic village life, and immerse yourself in Haryana’s traditions. We look forward to welcoming you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

During your stay, you will have the opportunity to engage in a meaningful cultural exchange through daily conversations with us, other travelers, and the local community. You will learn about our way of life, traditional greetings, daily practices, eating habits, clothing, schooling, and the values that shape Haryana’s village culture. In return, you can share your own cultural background, traditions, and language, creating a mutual learning experience.

You will also gain hands-on experience in traditional Haryanvi cooking, learning how to prepare simple yet authentic meals using organic ingredients straight from the farm. By participating in farming activities, you will understand our sustainable practices, including organic farming, cattle care, and the importance of cows in Hindu culture. We will share insights into Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga, meditation, and Panchagavya—ancient sciences that guide a natural and healthy way of living.

Additionally, we can discuss our initiative, ‘One Step Towards Nature,’ and how we strive to live peacefully, free from pollution, in harmony with nature, and using only organic and natural resources. Through this experience, you will not only gain knowledge but also develop a deeper appreciation for simple, sustainable living.

    Help

We welcome volunteers to contribute in various ways based on their interests and skills. The main activities take place on the farm, where you can help with organic farming tasks such as planting, weeding, harvesting crops, composting, and taking care of the cattle.

If you have skills in digital work, you can support us with managing social media accounts, creating content for YouTube, website development, marketing, or other online tasks to help spread awareness about our farm and sustainable practices.

Cultural exchange is also a key part of the experience here. You can teach English or other languages to people on the farm while learning Hindi and Haryanvi from us. Helping with day-to-day farm activities, cooking meals, and assisting in general maintenance tasks around the house are also appreciated.
