Our place is an nearly 100 years old, traditional schoolhouse out in the Finnish countryside, almost surrounded by forest. We have a nice sauna also. There is a lake a short walk from the house, which is ok for swimming.
What we are trying to achieve here is a place where eco-living, activism, arts, politics and friends meet. We who live here are Aune - theater director and teacher, Alm - musician, log-house constructor and forestry-engineer, Varga 8 yo, Saarni 5 yo and Usva (4 months). We are all activists of sorts.

Help in the house
We are growing a garden and have a few chicken. What we can offer work wise is construction work, work with fire wood, work in the garden, gathering wild berries, mushrooms and herbs, help in the house eg. making food and playing with the kids and usually a bit this and that more.
You don't need to be an expert to work here, some works require no previous knowledge at all, just a sound attitude, and some works require some skills in using tools. Being able to work independently and ability to take initiatives can be useful!
English, Swedish, Finnish, Spanish and a little bit of German and Portuguese.
Depending on how many people we are here at the moment and if there are guests stopping by you will have a room of your own or a shared room. If you prefer living outdoors there is a chance to do that also, you can build a shelter or live in a tent.
Tammisaari, the closest town is a very nice little city with a beautiful old town and quite much life in the summer. It is about 17 km away from our place so you can go there even by bicycle.
We eat quite much vegetarian food and some fish, if we eat meat we try to eat game or some meat from sustainable farms.
We are all non-smokers.
