Welcome to our home in the paradise island of Malapascua:)

We are a small Eco-hotel & restaurant with hut style accommodation located in the northern part of Malapascua. It's a peaceful area, with a lot of trees and plants and flowers. It is less touristy than the southern part of the island with a deeper local vibe with only a short 3 minutes walk from the beautiful north beach.

Most people come to Malapascua for Scuba Diving, and that was also the reason we came here at first. We fell in love with this place and decided this is where we would like to build our dream place, that is all about the journey to the "Inside" in the form of meditation, and the expression to the "Outside" in the form of art.

We would like to promote the habits we collected during our journeys, hoping it will benefit people's lives the way it benefits ours. For example, we have yoga, meditation & workout classes free of charge, a vegan restaurant, beach cleaning and maintenance, helping the locals, educating the locals to keep Malapascua and the ocean clean from plastic and waste, Art and Music lessons with the local kids, and so much more.

You can expect a big nice tent with mattresses and sheets, a fan, and electricity plugs. We have western toilets and hot showers build all from wood and bamboo. We provide optional vegan breakfast (Monday - Saturday) and Dinner (Monday - Friday). There are discounts on our menu for volunteers but lunch & weekend meals are not included as there are many different weekend activities we plan such as boat trip & bonfires. There are many places around the island to eat out and enjoy local foods. Typically on Sunday nights, we go out for Pizza night where we invite volunteers & guests to join us. Mineral water, tea, and good coffee are always available free of charge. We have a pretty strong wifi connection, and it is also free of charge.

During the week our schedule looks a little like this:

    7:00 Morning tea and coffee
7:30 - 8:30 Morning Activity (Yoga, workouts, meditations etc)
    8:30 Vegan Breakfast
    9:15 - 9:30 morning meeting
    9:30 - 11:30 work time

    14:45 - 15:00 afternoon meeting
15:00 - 17:00 Art sessions and volunteer projects
    17:15 - sunset Beach Cleanup

We have Yoga & Meditation on Saturday, but our work schedule is from Monday to Friday :)

We also have some activities for break time and evening time, but they change often. We do Acroyoga and Sports of all kinds, Diving and Freediving, Karaoke, Martial Arts, Dancing lessons, Disco & Parties, and many others.

Our conditions - We ask for 2-3 hours work a day, from Monday to Friday during worktime as a mandatory minimum & we're kindly asking our volunteers to participate in the morning activity session, art sessions/volunteer projects & beach clean up.
Vegan Breakfast&Dinner are available for a sponsored cost, but it's not mandatory:)

We create the schedule for your benefit, many travelers find it nice to come to a place that provides some form of routine & schedule. It has been designed to have an equal part balance of work, fun, discovery & connection with yourself & each other.

We are very open-minded here in our community, and every day we have meetings where everybody decides together on the next day tasks, and who should do what.

It's our first project, so please forgive us for maybe writing too much or too little. If you"ll send us any questions, we promise to answer as soon as we can, to the best of my ability.

    Cheers Everyone! Keep Rockin' ;)

    Johnny & Lior

We support divers and have a special program for Workawayers who wish to join a diving course or go on fun dives while staying in Malapascua. Johnny is a diving instructor, and we highly support diving education of any kind, since it raises the importance of keeping our oceans clean and our corals safe.

Another thing - we are committed to replying to every message, so if you applied with us you would definitely receive a reply <3

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Well, we have a lot of local volunteers and workers that are always happy to talk and share good stories. We have a place here for the local children to come and play. We havecreated a unique space where all people guests & volunteers are able to come as they are and discover more about themselves & others.

We have a saying here "be the best version of yourself!" This has become more than just a saying but a way of life for people when they leave. They are introduced to things they have never tried before, they push themselves to their limits, they seek discomfort as a way to challenge their perspectives on previous habits & ways of living. Many guests & volunteers love it so much that they extend their stay.

We use nothing but basic tools to build things which can be quite challenging. You could learn different forms of art from the other volunteers, building skills, and a lot about the Filipino culture from the friendly locals.

  • Help

We'd be happy to have open-minded artists who'd like to bring a little of their creation and energy into our new home. But also, there is a lot of physical work that needs to be done. Work time changes each day but a typical day can be as easy as creating things such as signs, decorations etc to harder days such as trash separation, building, gardening & other physical jobs.

We are always interested in hosting people who have skills in photography, photo editing & videography & video editing to help with our social & promotional projects. If you are a web developer who has skills in building & designing websites we would like to hear from you.

We have a place here for anyone who'd like to help, bring whatever you would like to bring, we are open to new ideas. :)
