Description
Mini farm next to the Drina River
Hello Hello! We are a small household in a village in Bosnia near the Montenegro border.
The house was bought 2 years ago and we are still in the process of renovation.
Our pets are goats, chickens, dogs and a cat.
You can help us with the goats, walking and feeding them.
Also by walking the dogs and feeding the chickens.
The cat is independent :D
We offer:
Food rich in organic chicken eggs and Goat dairy products like milk, cheese and yoghurt.
Great access to adventures in nature, with rafting camps and 3 nature park all fairly nearby.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We can share our knowledge and experience working with goats, planting gardens and recipes we enjoy making (and eating).

Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
You can help us by clearing our property and nearby nature of trash, collecting firewood and depending on your skills and interests help around the house.
We are now starting our garden and since our farm is very steep, doing some digging to even out areas for walking would be very helpful.

Accommodation
We have plenty of eggs and milk from our chickens and goats, we normally cook meals from scratch and hope to have some produce from our garden this year.
We have a tent with padding, pillows and a blanket that can be put in the attic, there you will have privacy while staying safe from the summer heat.
What else ...
There are buses daily from Sarajevo to Podgorica (and vice versa).
You can take these to go to the nearby town (15 min ride, 1€ ticket) where you can find supermarkets/pharmacies/ATMs and anything else you might need.

Going for walks with Sahar were interesting experiences, she taught me different usages for regional greenery I didn't even know about.
We remember her often fondly when picking vegetables. :)

She is pleasant, easy to communicate with and was very good will all of the animals.
A very adventurous person who went into the Drina River (which is ~15 Celsius) for a swim, TWICE!
Eva also made us some chocolate-banana barbeque which was so tasty!
Thank you for staying with us Eva! We wish you a wonderful time… read more
