We are a spiritual farm community based in Tuscany with around 20 residents, located about 25 mins drive from Florence city center. The nearest town is called San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a historically famous winetown in the Center of the Chianti region, located on the top of a beautiful hill.
The views of our farm are all-around amazing. We have several lovely animals such as cows, cats and peacocks. We have about 80 acres of land comprising a forest, Italian classical garden, vegetable and flower garden, hay and olive fields and a natural swimming lake. On our premise we also have a yoga studio that provides daily yoga classes for the locals. Volunteers are more then welcome to join in any of the activities we provide.
Our community follows the ancient, Indian-originating practice, a tradition centered around raising consciousness and cultivating love of God. By spreading knowledge and raising awareness about various topics such as sustainable living, vegetarianism, yoga, animal protection, spiritual lifestyle principles, we try to assist in making the world a better place. Ultimate goal of our philosophy is to serve Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, with love and devotion.
Our place is unique because it is very multicultural. There are many people from all over the world. We try to create an environment where you can have lots of social interaction and pleasing exchanges with other community members and volunteers.
We offer daily evening lessons and religious functions in which you can come and learn about our culture and views.
We have a library in which you can find tons of spiritual literature.
We also have a morning japa (rosery) meditation practice in which everyone is more then welcome to participate.
The members of the community are very kindhearted and we provide wonderful vegetarian meals with also local vegetables from our garden.
It is also a great place to learn both Italian and English as we have a mixed group of Italian and foreign residents.
The volunteers will help us in differents ways such as agricolture, gardening and cows.
We also need a lot of help cleaning.
We do our best to make volunteers work together among themselves and with community residents as much as possible so that service becomes more enjoyable.
We offer three fresh vegetarian meals a day. Some vegan dishes are also avalable. Anyway our diary products comes from our own cows which will remain with us for their whole life.
The bedrooms are shared with other volunteers and sometimes guests. Bathrooms are shared as well.
The place is easy to reach by bus from Florence. And from Florence you can easily reach all the main cities in Italy by train or by Flixbus.
