    Description

We are a family of five living in beautiful Funchal, Madeira: a Polish mom, an Italian dad, and our three children, Aleksander (9), Sofia (6), and Dante (1).

As a multilingual family, our children speak Polish, Italian, and English, and our oldest also speaks Portuguese. Meeting people from different cultures is very important to us, as we want our children to learn new languages, skills, and perspectives through genuine connections.

We love sharing our family life and welcoming guests who enjoy cultural exchange and spending time with children. We live in an amazing place on Madeira Island, surrounded by ocean views, mountains, and beautiful levada walks, with plenty of opportunities to explore nature and experience island life.

We are looking for someone kind, responsible, and energetic to help us with the children. In exchange, we offer accommodation in a private single room, meals, and a salary.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We see hosting as a true cultural exchange. As part of our family, Workawayers will have the opportunity to experience everyday life in a multicultural home, practice languages (Polish, Italian, English, and Portuguese), and learn about our different traditions and cultures.

We enjoy spending time together, sharing meals, exploring Madeira, and including Workawayers in family activities so they feel welcomed and part of the family. In return, we love learning about our guests' cultures, languages, experiences, and skills, and we hope our children can benefit from these connections as well.

We believe the best part of hosting is the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and friendships that both hosts and guests take away from the experience.
