    We live on a 20 acre property a 5 min drive out of the town of Golden,BC
    We are nestled in the mountains with several national parks surrounding us and great views from our windows!
    We heat our house with wood fires in the winter. We are looking for outdoorsy people who can chop wood, dig dirt and help with physical yard projects. Help with indoor housework is also appreciated
    There are easy access walking or running trails right behind our property.
    Right now its me, my husband and our 18 year old son and 20 year old daughter is home for the summer living on the property.
    Golden itself is an outdoor hub for mountain biking, trail running or hiking , rafting , kayaking and skiing. Its a friendly community with several great coffee shops and cafes and you can easily walk anywhere in town.

    We play community sports like basketball and soccer, love to get out hiking, biking and running. My husband is mechanical and has many fun projects on the go. I am a health educator and am also learning piano and spanish at the moment. We have hosted many high school students in our local community for the past 10 years in the Rocky Mountain Homestay program and have had fun learning about there countries, families and culture therefore have much experience hosting individuals from different countries.

    We are looking for someone to occasionally house sit and help with basic household cleaning and chores, and also basic yard chores like gardening , lawn maintenance , yard and shop projects. If you are handy with assisting with small construction projects , wood hauling or chopping this is a nice asset!

    We have a private bedroom and an open air loft both with queen beds. You share a bathroom with our 18 year old son and 20 yr old daughter
    There is always plenty of food in the pantry to help yourself to breakfast and lunch or snacks
    Most of the time we share a nice meal at supper time.

    There is access to bike or walk to town ( only 5 km away). We also can sometimes provide transportation to and from town. Once in town everything is within walking distance.
    We appreciate if you make a mess ( esp in the kitchen) that its promptly cleaned up.
    My husband works shift work, my son works fulltime and I currently work out of the house.

    Morocco is a 11 year old aussie shepherd blue healer mix. Although in his previous life he had a ton of energy and needed lots of activity. He most recently turned into a calm old man doggie who enjoys gentle trail adventures at this point in his life.
