  Description

  Experience a tranquil lifestyle in the middle of Galicia, living off the land and help at some DIY projects.
  We are a family with two kids, living in rural Galicia, originally from Latvia and speak Latvian, English, Russian and basic Spanish.
  
  Our place is located right in the middle between two beautiful cities Ourense and Lugo, but purely in middle of countryside. We have quite a big house that we are busy improving, there is a beautiful flower garden and vegetable garden that always need a helping hand and we take care of our lovely animals: 9 chickens, 13 rabbits, 4 ducks, 3 sheep and bees.
  
  Feeling very blessed to live a sustainable lifestyle and to have our own grown food and to teach these values to our children.
  We prepare yummy foods and home made drinks using various canning methods for winter season including lacto-fermentation which is well known for it's health benefits. This is an amazing opportunity to experience and learn for your own health and to have knowledge for life.
  
  Join us and help with our seasonal projects and tasks around the house, garden and animals. We love to meet new people from different cultures, would love to share our experiences of self sustainable living and learn both ways from amazing people of this Workaway community.
  
  It is a pure countryside life, deep in grasslands and forests - to have a perfect getaway from citylife. You can walk around in endless scenic routes in valleys and mountains near Miño River and absorb this beautiful energy of Ribeira Sacra valley.

  Help with our seasonal projects on farm and tasks around the house (some DIY projects, cleaning, help with piling up firewood for storing), help in garden (biodynamic and organic garden tasks, deweeding, crop harvesting, planting, transplanting, watering ) and help to feed animals when needed.

  Accommodation

  We have 2 separate rooms with own bathrooms to offer for our volunteers and plenty of land if you want to live in your own tent or own camper van. We offer daily meals with us or you can be on your own.

  * As we live in rural area there is very limited public transport. We provide transfers in surrounding area of Monforte de Lemos, Sarria, Taboada, Escairon or any other place within 30km radius.
  Closest airport: Santiago de Compostela
