Description
I have a small house and would welcome some friendly folks to provide a little landscaping and garden maintenance help. The work I need most is transplanting plants, mowing, weed whacking, raking leaves, spreading woodchips, and weeding pathways and there will be other projects, too, I am sure, such as moving and arranging large amounts of landscaping rocks and gravel. I work remotely for the University of Washington in Seattle so I am usually around the house but occasionally in Seattle. My house is quiet and clean. You will have your own bedroom in the house and we will share the kitchen, living room, laundry area, and one bathroom.
Please do not contact me with generic messages that say nothing about my listing.Types of help and learning opportunities

You'll potentially learn about edible landscape design from me, plus have opportunities to travel and explore on your own in our area.

If you speak Spanish or Thai it would be fun to have some help practicing.Accommodation
1000 square foot lovingly restored 1939 house in a cute neighborhood close to (but not in) downtown Mount Vernon. No nightlife to speak of and bus service is infrequent.
What else ...
I am very careful to keep my home super clean and tidy and I expect the same of anyone who stays with me.
You need to make grocery purchases for the things you want to eat (that are yours) and I am happy to prepare meals that we can share, but I mostly cook vegetarian and vegan, so if you're a meat eater, you'll definitely want to buy all your own meat (it's OK to prepare it at my place, just keep everything clean and as you found it).
We have a lot to do that is outdoors -- so much hiking!! We have a bus system in town as well as Greyhound and Amtrak just slightly less than 1 mile from the house.A little more information
