    Description

I'm Mario and I'm running a kitesurfing school here in Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka. This is a fairly isolated region in the North West. I live with my dogs and I love the Srilankan quiet rhythm.

I'm looking for someone to help me with social media enhancement, guest relations and answering the phone while I'm teaching in the water. We have two seasons: from December to February and from May to October.

    ----------

Fascinated by its wild nature, friendly people and winds, I decided to quit my job in Spain and start my new adventure in Kalpitiya. Whilst this area is still developing as a tourist destination it offers many opportunities (not only kitesurfing): it's one of the best spots for dolphin and whale watching, it's a hairbreadth away from Wilpattu National Park and you can chill at its sandy beaches lined with palm trees.

We are aware of our responsability to the environment so we participate in many projects with the local community: mangrove restoration, beach clean ups, spay and neuter campaings...

Travelling around the island, visiting the hidden hideouts and savoring their tasty food made me understand why it's called the Asian gem.

You will be located in a very traditional village, where kitesurfers and fishermen share the ocean. You will get a very good picture of the different cultures within Sri Lanka: Sinhalese and Tamils, muslims, buddhists, catholics and hindus, all together in harmony.

We are a small team. The owner, manager and head instructor (Mario) and Danuska as a kite instructor. Use this opportunity to learn how a kiteschool works, discover our beautiful kite spots and get hooked by this awesome sport!

We have two wind seasons (December-February and May-October) so we need someone to help us answering the phone while we are teaching in the lagoon, that can take care of our guests making them feeling at home and with some social media skills.

Most places are accessible by walking, bicycle, scooter or tuk tuk.

During your time off, visit the island, take a boat to the jungle where you can swim in the river and have a picnic, or hire a jeep to discover all the wildlife of Wilpattu National Park. Or try your hand at kite surfing. It's very addictive! Or chase our breathtaking sunsets, find some pools to chill during the warmest hours, take a swim in the Indian Ocean and enjoy a fresh coconut!
